Well I will be honest...

I did this to try and see if I could get some more picks. I tried to be funny and posted this like one of those cheap used cars sales ads.

As it stated above.... My original Title was PRE-DRAFT SALE and then I chaged it to I was striking out.

I am glad that Jave and GWB posted what they did, because I needed to know this stuff. Like I stated before, I did not think this was bad. 3 players for a 3rd rounder and a pick next year (Late Round) OBO. I did this based off of some of the trades I was offered over the last week. I simply thought that you AIM HIGH and then had people come back and make you offers.

But to my defense I said... 3 Solid players added to the DEPTH CHART :lol: I never said studs or starters, and again I initially did it to be funny and made the post very cheesy.

One thing, you might want to put up some of their outstanding stats. For example, with a DB, you might want to point out what their best coverage skills are, because some people like to run dedicated coverage schemes in their secondary.

I'm certainly not telling you not to aim high but be aware that in all MP trades you're dealing with real people who think individually.

One person might give you that high deal.
One person might ignore your high offer.
One person might black-ball you amongst him and his fellow "circle of GMs".
One person might take offense and try their hardest to screw you in the deal whereas if they thought your original offer was "fair" they might try to be "fair" with you.

You're potentially creating a reputation anytime you haggle over trades and IMO ideally you want to balance the short-term goal of improving your team with the long-term goal of being a "fair trading partner". If people won't trust you then you'll have to overpay almost every time in the long run to entice them to deal with you.
