Just as a forewarning, I'm not completely sure if conditional trades are allowed in the league. We'll have to get back to you on that one. I'm trying to think if we've discussed this before as it sure seems that we did.

Hmmm...well, I'm probably not going to make the playoffs, so that shouldn't be a problem.

We'll discuss it anyways, since it's a good thing to bring up if we haven't already.

I was thinking about this, and it could be something that the players themselves have to regulate and keep track of. For instance, say I win the Imperial Bowl, it would be up to jMontana to post in this thread that the conditions were met to make it a 5th round pick, then it would be a simple trade for Cringer to make. It's very 'buyer beware', and that is just something that the people making the trade will have to take into account, but since everything is public like this, anyone who screws someone over will not trusted by anyone in this league again.

Maybe I am being too simplistic about it though, and there is more to it? I don't know, I'm just a noob

Ok, I am going to let this trade pass and this is how. This is how for any such trade down the line and this may be added to.

MrBigglesworth, you are pretty close to what I was think.

Conditional picks will be allowed, but it MUST be like this. Player A for Pick B, unless 'something' happens then it is Pick C.

I will make the trade using the lower pick. It is then the responsibility of the owner(s) to notify me once the condition of changing that trade has been met. You will need to tell me via PM or email, AND bump the thread of the finalized and confirned trade. I can then trade the draft picks in order to meet the trade agreement.

This will only be allowed with cases involving draft pick placement such as this, if the team picks in the top 20 of a round then we trade for Round 6, of in the bottom 12 then it is a 5th round pick. We will talk about if we want to open up the can of worms of having conditional draft picks that are based on player performance, player playing time, or anything else.

I will post this in General too, so it can be talked about.

done, it is now Houston's responsibility to inform me if there is need for a change of the pick in the future, so I hope you are staying in the league for a while...
