He didn't get nothing, just wasn't able to draft comparable players with the picks. That can happen in any draft.

FWIW sometimes you just make a change too put your mark on a team, even if it means taking a step back. I know I still ain't close too where I want Fresno too be. I traded away Mullin, and it could really be debated if that was a smart move, but I set the OL up with that trade. And this next season will be the first one where I actually have my draft picks, should be interesting going forward.
Point being that even if something looks questionable looking back it does not make it stupid at the time. There can be lots of motivation too move a star player and as long as it does not reek of collusion then its all good.

Wasn't winning with the guy any winning was going to take some time to build. I tried putting pieces around what the last owner had left me with and the team just wasnt good enough and never had a QB with any competence. So I traded them away for picks and some future building blocks.Originally posted by Kobeck View PostFWIW sometimes you just make a change too put your mark on a team, even if it means taking a step back. Jave is just a little antagonist wants to try to take shots at me any chance he gets and thats cool. I enjoy it. because he has had all the pieces and great rated players and I think last year we showed I had a better win percentage than him since I was in the league. Might be different now because I am having a horrible year with a rookie QB. But facts are he cant even win with all the pieces in play.
Contraction!
Fans say Sell the Team!

shouldn't even be posting about other peoples trades honestly

Yea, who needs a stud RB starting only his 5th year in the league. Not like he's a great foundation to build on or nothing. I mean, look at the crap production this year: 700yds rushing, 5 touchdowns, 18catches another 3 touchdowns....yea, good thing you traded him.
And your laughable attempt at dissing my Jarvis trade....I'm 6-2, your 1-6. I have a 2 game lead in my division, your eating out of trash cans in the celler. Nuff said.

And ya know, I'm not an arrogant person. I have lost 100+ games in this league, but ever since u arrived, it's like u WANT to lose. You are constantly trading away your players and that trade makes NO sense unless your TRYING to lose. If you do a "recommended" under current players, he's the second best RB in the entire league right behind Wilson. And he's only starting his 5th season. Say what you want, but that was a horrible trade and you know it. I have no idea what your doing, and it would appear, you don't have a clue either.

What Jave also fails to mention when I traded this RB for a buncha picks I had a RB who only two years in his career has avgd under 4 ypc. and since the trade has avgd 4.5 ypc.
Jave keep stacking fullbacks by tradeing good players at skill posistions when you coulda drafted one good in the 3rd round of the draft. GJ pat on the back for you. If I am "trying to lose" then you should be embarassed that youuuuu someone trying to win had a worse W/L record then me since I joined the league up till this year. ouch.

Tyrell Smith gets the ball from the quarterback.
It looks like he's going right, but it's a trap around left tackle.
Smith has quite a bit of daylight.
The run nets 19 yards.

Tyrell Smith takes the handoff.
Smith is headed outside the left tackle.
Smith breaks a pair of tackles and continues.
He rushes for 9 yards.

He pitches the ball to Hurricane Wilson.

Geoff Wilson takes the handoff.

Fullback Tyrell Smith provided a nice block to help make the run successful.
Alvin Mann takes the snap.
Tyrell Smith gets the ball from the quarterback.
Smith runs off-tackle to the left.
Offensive Tackle Duane Barton pushes Rondell Ward down to execute his assignment.
Smith is into the secondary.
He's past the secondary and keeps going.
That's a huge gain before he's tackled.
He rushes for 38 yards.
Yea, I'm pretty convinced Smith was a key pickup for my team. In my offense, the FB is an important part of the big picture. Trading an older WR for a young stud fullback was an easy decision. While Jarvis is awsome, I can replace his production and spread around the offense more. With Jarvis I was to one-dimensional. The proof is in the wins.

If you use a FB the right way, he can definitely be a major part of an offense.
Javes example points that out.IFL Champions-- 2016

I guess thats what goes into Jave's 2 hours a week of game planning is for.Originally posted by tarcone View PostIf you use a FB the right way, he can definitely be a major part of an offense.

I prefer to think of it as he gave one of his top WRs away when he could have waited checked out FBs in the draft and probably spent a 3rd round draft pick and picked up a good FB who woulda gave him similar production.
Btw Jave hows that curse going? I see the injuries are mounting up. Too funny.
