I agree with this assessmentOriginally posted by JeffI can see overpaying for a guy that has a history like Austin. I just don't think anyone else was going to come close to that kind of offer.Originally posted by MattI'm just busting balls here too.
I'm all for giving away draft picks for proven talent. I've done that in my history here. I thnk if you want something, you do what you need to do to get him.
I wish you luck, I just don't think he's the right guy for you...NEWARK BULLDOGS WALL OF HONOR

Uh oh. Suicane has already written himself off as a 2010 playoff team.Originally posted by SuicaneIm not in love with picks, i'll certainly have to reasses that in 2k7 but for a couple of low 20's at best picks, I thought and still think that Austin was worth it."Larry Deasoooooooooooooooooon" -- Phil Jenkins

LOL
This cracks me up.
personally, if there is a piece I want I will pay whatever it takes to get it.
Suicane is on the verge, and thinks this piece gets him over the top. One mans treasure is another mans trash.
Tulsa is an injury away from 3 wins (ooops, lost Ash. uh oh) so I need picks badly. I think Taylor may be the next piece to fall.IFL Champions-- 2016

No. He's got similar talent but is waaaay more cost effective.Originally posted by SuicaneBucky Beaver is not Tim Austin.
I think Beaver and Austin are very similar and I would've given up more for Beaver than I did so I don't think this trade is TOO far off balance but I do think two 1st rounders is too much.
A 1st and a 2nd would seem about right IMO though so I can't harp on a guy for going a round higher than I would have on a draft pick.
Of course this is going off of FOF 2004 knowledge. I personally won't be making any big moves until I've got some FOF 2007 experience under the belt. Will Beaver and Austin still be effective with the new game?

I saw he was on the block a while and thought about offering a third round pick for him to be my third string RB. My backup, Richardson, who I got late in the fourth round, has similar running bars and averages, but can catch passes.Los Angeles Matadors AC West Champs: 2037
