So far RothenserberigheinerbergH has not HAD to win many games for P.

When the PO's get here it might remain that way, but it usually does not. At some point in the
PO's he will need to win a game, at that point we will all see what the rookie has.

ok, this trade I think has been approved by the owners. and though there were some comments about me adding next years 2nd pick into the deal, and that i actually should not have done that, that will remain in the trade. After a couple days from the "high" of making the trade, I think adding the 2nd rounder is a good thing here.

Jave, you can do your article that you have been dying to do.

Cringer, I think this trade and discussion may require a tweaking of the rules.

        Something like,

Only suspected collusion can be challenged by owners, although everyone is free to comment.

In this case, I can see how both owners would be happy about this trade. The only questions raised is that Jave is taking a huge risk, and the Toads are taking a small risk. But risk is the decision of the owner, not the league.

The only reason I would not put something like "suspected collusion" is to NOT rule out a couple other possibilities. Someone new to the game may not be trying to help another team out, but just not knowledgeable to know any better.

Another possibility is to protect/prevent a team from going TOO much in the hole with the cap. A trade could look excellent on paper for both teams, but it could be blocked if the end results meant something like a $25 million cap hit or something around there.

Geeze, if people would look at my roster, you will see, all this trade is doing is balancing out my roster on offensive/defensive. I had to much D and not enough O, and having to explain this trade in such depth is only making it tougher for me to gameplan since I am basically having to tell the entire league what direction I am going, I might as well hand over my playbook.
For those of you who have been in this league since the beginning, you must realize by now, I take this very seriously and want to win every week. I don't throw games, and I don't back off. I start from scratch every week and create a new gameplan based on my opponent. I scour the FA boards, I try to make trades that will benefit my team, and I play with an eye to the future. I do whatever it takes to win. This will benefit my team, I would hope that is obvious, and Cring benefits from this trade as well. Does he gain more in this trade this year? YES, of coarse he does. IT was an auction, and in order to win, I had to outbid the other guy, and I was willing to do that. But keep an eye on the years to come, and you will see the reason I put it all on the line now, when I have the opportunity. I play to win, and will do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal. I would hope this ends this thread.

I thought the trade was pretty damn ridiculous, but this last statement might pawn it.

Wrong. This thread might not even end when we switch boards. It's lunacy will remain in my mind for years to come.

You disagree that your taking a huge risk? Three starters for one maybe?

Lemme just add that I agree with Jave about having to explain yourself, if someone has a gameplan and the whole league starts asking him questions, it puts him at a disadvantage. Trades done, both sides got what they wanted which is all that matters, lets move on.
