lol///// me either...i really struggled in making a decision on this one...i guess when it doesnt feel like you got enough you got a fair deal...i will explain my thought process after Houston accepts and i have a few minutes to spare...
some quick thoughts on the trade....i am still working on getting this yrs cap sorted out. it will get fixed and this deal will help with part of that and it also ensures next yr has a chance of being okay as well...money will be tight next year and these guys are all signed to longer term deals at cap favorable rates....i will run some 3-4 and also be able to go 4-3 if i want because House is a capable 2nd DT....i have a great set of LBs to go 3-4...i was able to upgrade my CB spot a little and this draft stunk for CBs. those guys have bust written all over them...Even if i get Liedtke and Tyrell i wouldnt have been able to resign them...the big money hog for next year is QB Scott who willget a long-term extension at the end of the offseason juggling of the cap numbers...
SO basically this is a cap oriented move that will allow me to have defensive flexibility (3-4 or 4-3) as the season progresses and be able to keep together a decent core of guys through the next two offseasons instead of paying Liedtke and Tyrell more than i could afford...but man it hurts to see Bucky go...
Yea, I was prepared to go 3-4 this season but I have wanted Bucky since he was on my draft board a few years back. I couldn't pass up the chance to trade for him even if it means losing a talented inside LB like Watson.
