it was a good trade, but i just don't get this lovefest for Beaver all the time. he's "ok". nothing more, nothing less.

He is what he is. He has very good running skills, but not much more. He'll be penalized in FOF 2007 where endurance is actually going to be important. He averages 4.24 per carry and that is better than average, so ...

I'm pretty sure the highest I ever saw him rated was about 60-61. He hasn't dropped *that* much.

He has the ratings that count and he's a great back currently. His demise might come soon though as endurance is actually supposed to play a role in FOF 2007.

If that's the case, as you've said before (not being a drunk wise-ass, just letting you know I've already been prepared), then I think as a team I'll improve enough compared to the "IFL norm" to withstand the possible knock to the Beav. I've also got Mahoney to take over who I'm hoping will re-sign at a reasonable deal and if the Beav goes downhill, which no-one in Lawtown is willing to believe, he can be cut with no problems.

There are of course still playoffs to play but I think, as one of, if not the, piece I need, he was well worth the price and then some already.


Matt, in all honesty (if you care to answer) how much would you have paid in hindsight to both have him and keep him from me?

He's currently no Beaver but if 2007 takes power into account then hello Mike Alstott with Warrick Dunn (Beaver) as the back-up!

You, (or somebody but I thought it was you that pulled the trigger) drafted him for me even though I wanted Harris Mahoney, LEFT TACKLE.

Remember the discrepancy between which position I had intended as the draft utility didn't show I guess (I was afk obviously).
