I think it's a good deal for Cali. They move a QB who may be playing his last year and end up trading his FS and the 4th overall pick for the 1st overall pick. Either Mullin or Scott work fine

Good trade for Cali. I wondered what was up as I had no interest in the #1...

this trade was very easy for me to make. i had offered JC and 1.4 for the 1.1, he countered with those 2 and Nolan Vance, my safety, and i was perfectly fine with that. i only gave up my 3rd round pick in 2011 for JC (i'm not including QB Richardson cuz there was no way he was gonna be on my team this season anyway, i woulda cut him or at least offered a handjob if someone woulda taken him off my hands). so i gave up - out of my own pocket - QB Richardon, Safety Vance, 1.4 and 2011 3rd round pick for the #1 overall pick.

i will do that trade everyday of the week, and twice on Saturdays.

JC is great. but i can call a spade a spade - California wasn't and isn't gonna win any championships this year. so what, i have JC on my team so that i can not make the playoffs and get stuck with some weak mid-1st round picks? this team wasn't going anywhere this year, success would have been not finishing in last in my own division. so, i rather aquire an awesome WR who'll learn the ropes, and after a year or two of some good drafts, smart trades and good luck by 2011 we'll be championship contenders.

Get Real Matt, Chaplin was lights out last year and he set the record for QB Rating in the process. JC doesn't have the tools to do what Chaplin did last year. He's in West Virginia
