conditional trades never used to be allowed in the league because of a number of reasons.

way too difficult to manage and with the turnover in FOF leagues, it could affect a new owner coming in.

i feel like this will open up a can of worms that will be way too difficult to manage going forward.

There's nothing in the rules against them, and I already allowed one other one this offseason. So we'll try it out and see.

I like the idea. I think it could make trades more common and if turnover happens I think the team should forfeit the trade value initially agreed upon so in this case the 2035 1st rounder making it simple for Hooper while letting everyone else make good trades!

I hear the concern and realize that it can add confusion. In this case the conditional terms will be resolved at the conclusion of this coming season, so am hoping that minimizes any confusion.

I am respectful of whatever the commish/league decide. Sounds like it's ok in this case. I personally start out aiming for straight-up trades, the conditions just had to be involved for this one to be possible.

forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this, but regarding the trade i made with vegas, my first round pick was top 6 protected. so the #5 pick should be mine.

because i retain the pick this year, i trade both my first and third round pick next year to vegas.
