After a miserable 0-3 start the Thunder cracked their first win of the season against Calgary, a victory that was earned off the back of big plays from both defense and special teams.
But as the saying goes "one swallow does not make a spring", so the question now is can this young and talented Little Rock team build off that first win when they face the defending champion Stallions at William Jefferson Clinton Stadium?
The answer is a resounding "unlikely".
Bookmakers have us as 8 point home underdogs and the media has Little Rock ranked as the 24th best team in the league. The Stallions meanwhile remain perched at the top of the power rankings and have already beaten both Arizona and Iowa City this year.
The Thunder lacks the pedigree to pull off the upset. And yet.....
The buzz out of Arkansas is there and for all the hedging of bets and "yes, buts", Head Coach RJ Rasmussen has his team believing.
"The Stallions are a great team and we've had this game circled on our fixture for a long time," Rasmussen said after training today.
"Can we beat them? Hell yeah, we can beat them. Hell, we WILL beat them."
The match up says otherwise but Little Rock management believes the fans will be in for a great game and will be celebrating in style at the final whistle.

Vito, I'm locked and loaded and looking forward to the game. All bulls**t aside I'm hoping for a credible performance by my team and keen to see if my game planning skills are getting any better. Good luck!
