Madison Bullies Bulls
Madison, WI- The Madison Demons were not in a good mood when they took the field against Fargo. Coming off a loss to division rival Pittsburgh last week at home, the Demons were intent on not losing to Fargo.
Paced by a dominating running game and a QB making no mistakes the Demons tripped up the Bulls 28-7 before 65,800 people at Demon Field.
Randy Sparrow (TE/FB) got things started early for the Demons, with a rare carry Sparrow scampered 62 yds to give Madison a early 7-0 lead.
Cody Reyes scored on a 1yd run at the beginning of the 2nd quarter which turned out to be the winning score. Reyes finished the day with 28 carries for 95 yards. Reyes scored twice, once on the ground and once through the air from Johnie Loving. The Demons ran for a whopping 238 yards as a team. Rookie RB Johnny Davidson also chipped in with 71 yards on 16 carries.
QB Johnie Loving threw the ball real well and made no mistakes. Loving was 16/22 for 171 yds, he threw 2 TD's and no INT's as he took Player of the Game Honors. After the game Loving had nothing but praise for his offensive line. "This was a good win for us", Loving said. "Our offensive line played great today and my hat goes off to those guys, they busted their ass all game".
The Demon's defense has been terrific over the last 5 games. The Demons have only given up 32 points over this span, a 6.4 avg. If they keep playing this well and the offense limits its mistakes the ceiling is very high for this team.
The Demons travel to Louisiana next week to take on the VooDoo. The VooDoo are battling for a division title and will be up for this matchup.
