I think Casey Walters K will end up being better than Kevorkian. You could have gotten him in the 3rd or 4th. Just a thought my many SB winning friend.

I don't know how the combines correlate to kickers. I wanted a kickoff specialist and guessed that the agility drill might correlate to that based on 20 seconds of looking at the draft list.

What the heck it is just a kicker right? From what I have read, agility and broad jump are read herrings. You should just worry about the first three. 40, Sole and Strength. Strength should help put the ball in the end zone on kickoffs.
But Kevorkian the Death Dealer sounds a lot better than Casey Walker for a kicker!!

Current Analysis: As the end of the 2nd round came around, I had plenty of players on my list but none quite worthy of the slot. 2.25 was traded to POR for 2025 2nd and 5th. 2.28 was traded for 2.30 and 4.30, picking up the 4th I traded to LR earlier. Then 2.30 and 2.32 were traded to CHI for a 2025 2nd and 3.23 as I was pulled away from the game while on the clock and didn't want to hold things up. The Crusaders prob got the better end of that one but league etiquette is important to the Lawrence organization.
Cap Room was a problem going into the draft and after using the 1st rounder not-as-planned, I feel better pushing some 2nd rounders forward and falling back in the current draft. There's still plenty of players out there worth gambling on and the board will decide which ones fall to us...Last edited by JesterBlaze; 03-02-2013, 10:28 PM.

Current Analysis: Loosely sticking to need (CB3 was a need but probably my lowest) I went with a "player pick" at 3.23 when I was surprised to see Bernard Weisz still on the board. We've now got a potential quality player while still definitely filling a need and continuing to follow our off-season plans. Needs are now down to 4, picks remaining are 5. Cap space continues to be an issue though so there could still be some cuts, which have created potential needs at FB, OG, DE, S and maybe some other spots. Any fringe players making more $$ than an incoming draftee would require are currently in danger.
I'm going to leave the "Wants" section up but at this point in a draft there's never anyone left that would qualify. "Wants" is where I'd like to get a great-to-elite player on my squad.

Current Analysis: Internet problems and an idiotic export-but-don't-upload by me caused an early exit from the draft, a complete absence from FA2.1 - FA2.5, a serious cap crunch, and an inability to get rookies signed in time for weight changes. This last post goes against the grain of this thread and is a blue-print on what NOT to do.

Looking semi-back (not enough history yet) it's obvious that I reached for Lester Kevorkian, K, in the 1st but swap my first and late 3rd and I wonder who would have a problem with the overall result? My mind is still boggled on how I got Bernard Weisz at CB at almost a 4th round pick?!?!?! I had him pegged on immediate look at the draft as a legit late 2nd rounder and still appears to be - if not an early 2nd rounder.
