Stallions Return Home From a Brutal Road Trip

After a hot start, SLC has cooled considerably to sport a 2-3 record. SLC goal this year was to win the NC West and while they still lead the division, poor showings in the past three weeks leaves this team searching for answers.
Last year this was a power football team that featured rushing phenom James Tart; this year we've seen this team blow out Reno and Hartford with a passing attack that sits among the tops in the IFL.
SLC comes home to face the Columbia Fire with their season hanging on the outcome. This may be the biggest game of the season for our Stallions and I expect them to set the ship right this week.
New coach will be going up against offensive genius and former SLC skipper Marty Pearson. Marty knows this team's weaknesses and will look to attack early and often. Look for an offensive explosion from both teams
SLC featured James Tart last week and fell short in the points department against a strong passing attack in Little Rock when they attempted to feature the running game in the second half. I don't think SLC will go conservative anymore this season as their defense is just not good enough to play keep away ball. This approach cost them a win in Tulsa and Little Rock and I beliee that experiment is over.
Running James Tart is indeed the key to turning this thing around but look for Booker to start his campaign for MVP this week as the Stallions remove the handcuffs from this offense. Either Tart, Gomez, Mertz, or Key will step up BIG in front of the home crowd this weekend.
Forget the debates about running or passing first. The Stallions need to go with whatever plan they think gives them the best chance of winning the next four games. Stallions are hard to beat in the stable. They are an impressive 8-1.
