The Lawrence Phantoms phaced the ultra-potent Tulsa Tigerhawks today in an NC Showdown to name the 2023 season's IFL Bowl Disciple of the NC! The Phantom defense stepped up and took part in history as the IFL's #2 All-Time post-season receiving-yards leader recorded only 18 yards on his final game of 2023.
The All-World Chris Andrews entered the day 183 yds short of the All-Time lead over Phantom Great Arnold "Shake" Greene. An average Andrews' day and a victory would have almost assured Tulsa fans that their man would be The One. The "W" did not happen...
"We don't have many All-Time individual records" said Lawrence Owner/GM Jester Lawrence. "The post-season is where our players have to shine, not through individual accomplishments but through team effort and a brute force games-played strategy of team-success."
"It's only a shame that 'Propane' didn't have a chance to shine and add to his illustrious career..."
While "Propane's" career is not necessarily over, so too is the Lawrence Phantom's season in a re-match against the Cleveland Clawz, a team the Phantoms much respect:
"The early IFL Claws are the only thing close to the current Phantom's offense when Propane is in there." stated current Phantoms Head Coach Rico Sprouse, winner of 3 Bowl wins. "And they beat us already in the biggest game an IFL competitor has the chance to be participant of."
