  • Ode to Tulsa: The Send Off

Matt Sanford, "Brick", Marlon Gillette (drafted by NWK), Brock Heath, Chris Andrews (the greatest WR in IFL history?)...

This group might will probably be broken up in some way or another before the 2023 season. Let us take a moment to pay homage to the core of arguably the greatest offense ever to grace an IFL field.

Of course recently retired "DH" Singleton was the fuel behind the fire but all of the aerial pieces remained for 2022 and together they brought fear - and a divisional title - once again to opponents and NC South rivals respectively.

Fitting that the Tigerhawks won 10 straight division titles, because no one can deny that over the past decade Tulsa's offense has been nothing short of a

    10.0!!

Just to put it out there: I'll still be lobbying for Arnold Greene to be regarded as best WR ever and some version of the Phantoms ongoing offense of 2003-??? to be the best ever but for a write-up I'll praise another very worthy contender.

          Thanks, Jester.

That was a fun time. Tulsa set a lot of offensive records in that 10 year span. Both single season and career.

I miss DH. He was the fuel.

I'm still laughing at myself for totally missing the boat on him. I remember like it was yesterday saying, "he was drafted way to high, I don't think he's that good".

                  Hahahahahahahahahahah

Open mouth insert foot! I'm to lazy to find the exact post but if someone wants to I will laugh at myself again.

I think I told you in PMs to nab him. I remember being very much a believer and vocal about it but just not selecting at that time.

Brock Heath was also in that category. That nonsense seems to have stopped though. Now in the IFL if a great player is left by pick 12 there seems to be no shortage of GMs trying to trade up. Good times. Balance is good.
