Matadors 2022

A Former Matador has returned to Los Angeles following a trade with Norfolk. Defensive tAckle Damon Ellard cost the Matadors a first and second round pick in successive drafts, but it was well worth the expense.
Ellard was the third pick in the 2016 Imperial draft after a collegiate career with the Miami Hurricanes. Ellard was named to the 2020 Imperial League's First Team as a defensive tackle in 2020, and previously made the Imperial League's 2nd Team in two thousand eighteen. Ellard ranks third on LA's record books in Blocked Passes, and 5th All Time Matadors in Sacks and Hurries on quarterback.

Mr. Matador, Ducky Mallard, signs a contract renegotiation for another five seasons, which should take him up to, or pretty close to, retirement. "It was important for the face of the franchise to be paid the money he deserves, and to get him locked in for the long haul."
Mallard signed for $83.34 million, and he deserves every penny.
