With Kozure stepping down as the GM for the Beasts, after taking them to the championship game, the front office was in need of a new GM. After going through the list of applicants, it was still determined that none of the available GM's were going to bring what they wanted to the team. They didnt want the same old same old. They wanted to do something different, something off the wall. You with the approval of Kozure, who is atill well respected inthe WV comminuty, they were able to get ahold of the former GM of the Mules. Some of you may remember him, some of you wished you coulda forgot him, TUFFY is now the active GM of the WV Beasts.
At his press conference this afternoon alot of questions were asked about why he came back and how he was going to continue the winning ways and nearly undefeated season which the franchise just experienced. His reply, as should of been expected, entertaining and well.... just unexpected.
"Kozure is a Hall Of Fame GM in this league." TUFFY replied. " You can not replace him, cant find anybody like him. All you can do is to hope that some of the shit that he left in the locker room could bring some closer to his tenure as we burn it and start new....."
and the statements didnt stop there as he commented on his return to the league.
"I dont know why I even got the call to be honest with you. Kozure and I are nothing alike. The front office ensured me they were aware of that they were looking to go another direction. Quite frankly, I took offense to that as the only other direction the beast can go is down since they are at the top now. WTF !!! Now how would you react if you were told that ? All I can figure is that if the franchise goes downhill Kozure will look even more like a God and be a Shoe In when he's nominated to the Hall of Fame first time around. Even when that guy isnt here he's still looks good"
After those first comments were made the press conference bacme as serious as it was gonna get and TUFFY did actually say a few things which related to his plan for the WVB.
"I got to meet the team and see who has what to offer. There are a few holes and I'll try to fill those needs. Seriously, I dont know how they made it last season let alone going undefeated in the regular season. Thats not the team that I saw on paper. Nonetheless, it a new day in West By God Virgina. Every starting position is open. Senoirity means shit !! I guess that why some of those knuckleheads retired when they heard I was coming to wreck the show. Teams better without those quiters.... "
But TUFFY didnt fail to leave without his sidebar humor saying
"And in case anybody is wondering.... I do realize the age of this team and we have already a couple extra medical cart for game day along with reserving the west end of the 3rd floor in West Virgina Medical Hospital"
