AP-The Newark Bulldogs are now sitting atop the NFC East with a 2-1 record with little or no help from Kicker Don Croft. Although Croft has hit on 6 of 9 attempts, he has struggled this year by missing some "chip shot" FG. According to unidentified sources within the team, certain personnel feel that Croft cost them a victory in week#2 vs Wichita. Amongst all the controversy, Croft was given a vote of confidence by team owner, Tony Soprano. "We looked hard at our options and we felt that overall he's been a decent kicker for us. What are we gonna do!?! Forget about it!!!!.
In Newarks latest win over Salt Lake, the offense showed some balance. The running game was effective, and thus helped by opening up the passing lanes for QB Chris Chaplin. Newark was able to stop one of the league's best offenses by limiting RB James Tart to just over 40yds rushing. Tart, who's been very vocal, was somewhat tight-lipped after the loss to Newark.
From the column of "not so rare" QB Chris Chaplin was hurt again this past weekend. QB Chris Chaplin injured his right knee handing the ball of to RB Jerry Daugherty. Chaplin finished the game but is officially listed as questionable vs. Lansing this weekend. Chaplin is a gifted QB who spent 1/3 of last season watching games from the press box. Assuming that Chaplin and his college teamate ,WR Andrew Robey, can stay healthy this season, it could mean a playoff run that Bulldog fans can get excited about.

Interesting, Tart was held to 40 yards? Two games and less than 100 yards between the two?

Granted I shouldn't talk since I did get my ass handed to me, but still....

Gameplan was flawed --- for some reason I had it set to pass HEAVY after went up 7 points-- we never came close but I was doomed from the whistle.

What Tulsa does against Tart will tell us if the Stallions can't run anymore

Tart has been quiet though , I'll call his agent tomorrow.

Hartford, you're in Memphis? I grew up there! Parents live off Mendenhall (near that huge statue of Buddha in someone's yard).

You an Ironleg Wrongwich or Brunell guy???

I think they made a mistake dumping Brunell. But I do like the change at
HC that they made. As a Titan fan I was upset to see Coughlin leave
              Jacskonville.

LMAO, I bet. Not liking Leftwich and that 'chop wood' delivery either but man is that a big arm. If he could just correct that release, he'll be servicable. Brunell is my man (Note that Booker is a Lefty but Black---gotta have some color in the IFL you know).
