  • Spark Wonup in Oakland.

Spark reporting from Oakland this week on a cross-country report on the status of things in the Assassins organization.

Unfortunately I'm simply standing outside a locked complex. I can see lights on in many of the rooms and plenty of motion though.

So with no one to talk to...

    Let's run down the stats...

    1) BFinno77 purchased FOF during the 2020 post-season.
    2) Was hit with some hurdles getting the game set-up.
    3) Navigated a very strict salary cap situation right out of the gate.
    4) Has a good chance at going 3/3 getting players who will legitimately hold a roster spot with picks in rounds 4, 5, & 7.
    5) Went 2-1-1 against quality exhibition opponents.

In a league that's heard plenty of mouths on sub-.500 teams (which isn't a bad thing. I'm all for league press) this looks to be the signs of someone learning the game and seeing what hand he's been dealt. And as the old saying goes...

"There'll be time enough for talking when the dealin's done!"

I'm curious to see how Oakland does this year. Given their cap situation, it wouldn't have been a total surprise for BFinno to decide to trade off the big money vets and go for a complete rebuild, but keeping them let's him continue to be competitive. If Donovan returns to 2019 form, who knows what will happen!

Oakland has plenty of good pieces on both sides of the ball. They always seem to have the stars, will they all align for a solid season there?

I'm still following Stuart's career since I had a big decision between him and Levine. So far it's been close, but I do know Stuart would have looked real nice opposite Denning.

Enough about my team, good luck Finno!

Yea I was 65% ready to do just that. Donovan....I dunno. He hasn't returned to form since his injuries despite his "bars". I was going to use Wingfield, Doyle and Wilson for trade bait and reload. Trade down in the 1st next year, pick up more 2nd, 3rd's, and try to trade up the following year for a franchise QB. With the aging offensive line, not sure there was another run left in the team with it's current roster. However, I don't have IFL files anymore so I'm not sure how the team looks since the offseason.
