  • 'BAZOOKA' BARLOW TRADED TO LOS ANGELES

'BAZOOKA' BARLOW JOINS 'DUCKY' MALLARD AND THE MATADORS

A trade of necessity, and a strong one by both teams, quarterback "Bazooka" Barlow of the St. Louis Cardinals is now a Los Angeles Matador.
Debussy's injury took Los Angeles out of contention for the division race, and the Matadors never recovered. Neither did Debussy, who is now an unrestricted free agent. Barlow gives us an immediate, long term fix to the quarterback problem and gives us another weapon...a proven quarterback.
"It reminds me of the deal I made in the DFL seasons ago for Donnie Branson, a qb of similar ability. Since that trade went down, the DFL team we own has had six consecutive winning seasons, and three playoff appearances."

Saint Louis received L.A.'S two first round picks in this year's draft, a first AND second round pick in next year's draft for the veteran quarterback.

Scary combo for the rest of the AC.

And we have TE Fehr just drooling in the wings... but, we need to get some wideouts... only one really good one on the roster, and we need to improve there..

haha I've been trying to get the "1st" IFL 1,000yard TE for years and turns out Kirk already did it in 2017!

Can't beat "Getting Downfield" when it comes to TEs.

Looking at your roster our teams are quite similar right now.

              nice pickup.

it will be interesting what teams don't make the playoffs in that division. I doubt Portland and ANchorage are willing to just bow down.

Well, I'm not arrogant enough to think the maneuvers I've made so far will get me to the big show, especially in our division, but I feel better about the team and I think we can better compete now... I'm actuallly looking forward to the season now.

I have some gameplans, offensive and defensive, I'm dying to try out now. Offensively I want to use Ducky, but not overuse him, and I think we can still run the ball well, and throw the dang thing better than we ever have. Which can only help us.

We're getting there, but we're not where I want to be yet. Had to make these moves... building through the draft is how I usually do things, but with the catastrophic injury to our franchise qb, we would have been doormats for years with a rookie quarterback, and I don't think Debussy is a viable starter now. Maybe a serviceable backup or mentor, but not a starter. At least now, we can compete on a level playing field with the other three teams in our division.

Blink your eyes and Ducky's career, like all RBs, is going to be on the downside. Good timing by acting now.

oh, I'm not saying anything negative by any means.

I'm just saying that your division is supremely difficult. to get to the playoffs you gotta win the division....or hope for some wildcard help.

jeffrey is very good at this game and wins a lot.....period.
buddaking is very good at this game and wins a lot......period

between kobeck and yourself, you guys have your work cut out for you. I'm actually super excited to see how things shake out in your division. All the talent in the division is scary.
I wish you and kobeck the best of luck. You both have a lot of eyes and ears perked in your direction watching and waiting for the future..
I'm a fan, so it's pretty exciting to see these moves.
