  • Post-Season Media Write-Up Hoop-A-Joop

As with the Off-Season Media Swap Series I'll try to get some league media going, especially in the drought of the Great TB, by suggesting that whoever wants to get involved pick a playoff team and write about them until they're post-season demise.

I'll be sending Spark Wonup over to the AC to tag along the Norfolk bandwagon. Media piece to come on that.

Below is the official header for this venture.

A Segment of the 2020 IFL Post-Season Series.

With the short time before the 1st games I'm leaving it open for people to just pick one and run with it. I find it weird to write about the NC while I'm in the race so I went with an AC team.

We have a full week, right? I'm actually headed out on a early Christmas vacation and trying to get a game plan in tonight in case I don't get around to it later.

Anyway, great idea, I doubt that I'll be able to find time to do a write-up this week but if I can I'll chime in.

The only "directions" would be to make an attempt to bring some more fun to the league. Everything else is a guideline at best.

Feel free to write about another team and other GMs should feel free to write about a team already written about. The IFL - as far as media goes - seems to be at a low point lately so this is just an attempt to "Spark" something.

So reality is that my 30 day trial of Adobe Dreamweaver 5.5 ran out yesterday but evidently works until I close down. I've got too much riding on the work I'm doing using it to switch over to Windows so I won't actually be writing about Norfolk this week and will most likely be riding the half-game-plan I exported earlier in the week.

Sorry r00k. Was looking forward to following the Vipers. Will still do so if you can win a couple games to buy me some time.

In response to Jester’s call-out, TB will throw in its two cents to help out this noble cause As for our absence, it was unavoidable. Nuff said, lets talk about the playoffs.

Well, 2020 started with 32 and now we are down to the Dirty Dozen and each will attempt every trick in the book to earn the chance to get to the Imperial Bowl and hopefully win a coveted championship.

Well, in our usual but nonconventional style, we will share some trivia color to this year’s playoff festivities. We will let others talk about the glamour boys and their stats … the Qbs, and the RBs and the WRs. Here’s our slant on things.

:!: Three of the playoff contenders have already won two championships (Lawrence, Norfolk, and West Virginia); so, one of these teams could make history by becoming the first franchise to wear the bling on three different fingers.

:!: Five of the franchises have the opportunity to win their first championship (Murfreesboro, Montreal, Lansing, Georgia & Vancouver). Three of these teams would be virgins to participate in an Imperial Bowl (Lansing, Georgia & Vancouver).

:!: Two head coaches have won two Bowls and now have the opportunity to add a record third Imperial Bowl win to their resume … Rico Sprouse from Cleveland and Ross Branden from West Virginia.

:!: All teams had the opportunity to play some of the other playoff contenders during the regular season. It is interesting to see how each performed, but as we all know, it is a brand new season now (isn’t it boys!), especially since the AC results make no sense!

                    AC:
                    Norfolk (4-1) … the actual 3rd seed
                    Montreal (3-2) … a wild card seed
                    Murfreesboro (2-2) … the actual 2nd seed
West Virginia (2-3) … a wild card seed
                    Portland (2-3) … the actual 4th seed
                    Cleveland (2-4) … 1st seed

                    NC:
                    Tulsa (5-0) … the actual 1st seed
                    Newark (5-1) … the actual2nd seed
                    Lansing (1-2) … the actual 4th seed
                    Vancouver (1-3) … the actual3rd seed
                    Lawrence (1-4) … a wild card seed
                    Georgia (0-3) … a wild card seed

:!: Special team payers never get the lime light, so here a a few players that just might make a difference in a playoff game or two.

For the record it was not a "call out" but a nod to how much TB brings to the league and how great a hole is left in his absence. With Jave talking all the quitting jive and no TB pre-post 268 the sky was surely falling in IFL land.
