Stallions 2020 Draft
1.5
Brian Mancuso LT 29/77
Blindside protector drafted to complete my line. Added massive Cole Fletcher to start at RT; gives me two athletic beasts on the edges with arguably the best pair of guards in the game.
Grade: A
1.13
Antonio Tyler QB 4/19
Talented QB who scored well at combine but lacked the starts and game film needed to build the hype-wagons that Bruce and Myers enjoyed leading up to the draft. He's not so bright but his Wonderlick was encouraging enough to make me pull the trigger.
Grade: TBD
3.2
Omar Grier, LCB 17/29
With Porter not falling like I'd hope [FRE], I may have jumped too soon on Grier. He's probably a pick I'm going to regret as he's not ideal size/weight either.
Grade: TBD
4.1
Wayne Garrett SS 19/59
Hoping I got a stud here as Dirty Streets' play has really declined. His ratings, bars, combines all look to be favorable and unlike the Grier pick, my fans like him. He starts day one if gains a single point in future
Grade: B
4.10
Quinn Lyle FL 23/36
Ouch on the initial rating and the fan reaction (22% pop) but I'm high on his combines---agility points to a guy who can catch and run and both Downing and Gurley are high accuracy guns. Looking for a good pairing here.
Grade: TBD
5.2
Jon Ballard LCB 23/46
Better size, speed, agility than my current starter and those ratings are promising---that (10) in popularity isn't. Was looking for a starter with that 3.2 pick, figured I missed and swung again -- strike 2???
Grade: TDB
5.15
Bucky Garibay FS 13/31
I see something in the kid and the fans share my belief; This pick gets a C at least for the frick'ing name alone
Grade: C
5.18
O.J. Billups SE 13/29
Seduced by size, agility and speed; death threats from the fans begin
Grade: TBD
5.23
D.J. Phelps FL 16/25
Seduced by size, agility and speed; a shoe is launched at the commissioner when this pick is announced; staff exits the war-room only for donuts and British Womenz after Phelps is chosen.
Grade: TBD
6.1
Jeremy Kaplan SS 13/45
His broad jump is impressive, the agility and speed are ok but Csonka is about my only option at PR/KR
Grade: TBD
6.14
Monty Harkin FS 12/22
Needed a guy that can create turnovers and his lone impressive bar was the INT skill. Even the Mormons like the pick.
Grade:
7.2
Ant. Brooks SILB 18/39
I've got versatile former 3rd rounder (rated 53) who is actually an all-pro tackling machine and the fans hate him. Welcome to SLC Antony Brooks, you're next
Grade: TBD
UDFA / Camp Invites
Leo Cox, FB 9/42
Role: Starting FB
+Chemistry add; our former FB was popular with the fan base but Gurley and a couple others on the offense don't like the guy; go figure.
Jerry Reilly, NT 14/42
Role: Depth
Michael Davis, TE 13/33
Role: Depth, could start with my group; it's that bad
Bryce Barker, SE 15/32
Korey Witt, SE 8/19
Role:
Depth; invited based off combines and they look to be the same sucky receivers I drafted -- strange, the fans LOVE these two signings
???
Bill Kromer, WLB 10/28
Henry Terrell, WLB 12/24
Role: Pass rushers
I run the 3-4; it's needs a WLB with speed and some agility. These guys fit the range but didn't score well in drills; guess I'll see why in TC
