Mere weeks after winning the 2018 All-State Air Award with 73 catches and 0 drops, All-League Talent Dan Alcott's wish to play for another team was granted after a 3+ year grudge with ownership. Many have predicted a 1,000 yard season out of "All Caught". If that's to happen it won't be in a Phantom uniform. Dan now dons the Seals' Red and White and from the looks of his first two pre-season games he's fitting right in.
In his place is who many argue is the league's most talented all-around TE, 26 year old Jonathan Lee. Phantom Phans and ownership both hope Lee can help a running game that's struggled for far too long. He's also one of the few TEs in the league who can match Alcott's Route Running ability.
"We received a lot of quality offers for Alcott involving draft picks and such" said Owner/GM Jester Blaze, "This off-season, after again trying to resolve the issue internally, we got pro-active and searched for a realistic replacement already playing in the IFL. Jonathan was our 1st choice and we paid the price to get him."
Lee hasn't broken the 600 receiving yards barrier nor the double-digit TD barrier thus far in his career but many experts feel that's just a matter of times targeted each season. He'll get many chances with Lawrence.
