Tulsa Draft by Tripp Homer

The draft has gone great for our beloved Tigerhawks. We knew going in that defense was the proirity. So far that hasnt changed. Our top 2 picks are a cornerback and an inside linebacker. Lets take a more in-depth look at our newest heroes.

With pick 4-27 we selected cornerback Johnnie Cassidy from the University of North Carolina.



Here is Cassidy running am punt back for a TD.

Johnnie Cassidy was a nice surprise to show up at 4-27 for Tulsa. Not only can he return punts. He is a good cover cornerback. Not the fastest defensive back, he makes up for it with his intelligence. Cassidy has a chance to start this season, if he has a good camp.

Next the Tigerhawks went for a run stopping middle linebacker. At 5-26 Notre Dames Nate Raffray was available. He is a big linebacker coming in at 6'2" 258 lbs. His specialty is stopping opposing running backs.



Raffray is a monster in the middle. The Tigerhawks love their run stopping middle linebackers. Raffray also has a shot at starting with a strong camp.

Next up will be the Tigerhawks 7th round pick. All indications is that a defensive tackle is the Tulsa board. We shall see.
