Well Fresno has been unusually busy these opening days of the 2019 offseason. Its Chaos again what with HC Rapaport's unexpected retirement and the hiring of a rookie HC in Norbert Carter. If that was not enough Carter brought in 16 year veteran Mule DC R. J. Montgomery to replace long time DC Arnold Hamilton.
And then then the Chaos was kicked up a notch

Fresno GM Kobeck needed targets for Schwartz and there was one available in Mr Joyner. So CAP was freed up to create a UFA war chest, but Joyner, Cazares and Valenti signed with other IFL teams. Yet still the Warthogs got a couple of slight upgrades at WR in Cheuse and Lester, but that was really just incremental upgrades. Schwartz needed legit targets like the other QBs have. Schwartz led the Warthogs withing a Seal loss of taking the AFCW and going to the POs for the first time. With the O disappearing for the last 4 games of the season those weapons will be needed to dethrone Portland. Decisions had too be made. And more chaos was created when Snap Chapman was offered an offer he could easily refuse and took his talents to Madison for $30m. So GM Kobeck looked elsewhere and targeted a FB to challenge Alcott in TC, but Givgore and Derubeus both signed on day 1 of FA and Korhonen signed day 2 giving Fresno more chaos at the FB position, that Alcott will probably retain. A TC challenge for Emmons was also desired as Mr. Emmons presented himself as a coffin corner specialist prior to the 2018 draft, but come too find out he meant he worked summers at a funeral home. So P Eastman was signed when the bidding for Walters went chaotic. But the D was not forgotten as Farrell and Holliday were signed to play along side Maggard at LB. Then for the chaotic UFA finale red flag RB Caldwell was signed to backup Johnstone.
And then the combines completed and Kobeck realized that there was no way any of the 3 immediate impact #1 WRs would fall to Fresno's 1.22. Then the real chaos began as Kobeck began to wheel and deal talent and picks. 1.22 was shipped to Cleveland for a 2020 1 and 2, this freed up CAP and provided some ammo for deal making. Chicago provided some targets for Schwartz in Buerfeind and Gregoire in exchange for the Warthogs 2 and 5, but at least Schwartz has someone decent to chuck the rock at now. Then a couple of near simultanous deals went down when Murfreesboro sent WR Hodel to Fresno in exchange for Fresnos 2 in 2020, DE Edwards and recently acquired FB Korhonen. This gave Schwartz two good targets and now the Warthogs have a decent, if somewhat aged, receiving corps. While that deal was going down Fresno got some help for Maggard when Chicago sent LB Spencer to Fresno for the Warthog 4. While GM Kobeck and Chicagos KingFC22 were hammering out a third deal involving LB Hastings, Pennsylvaina GM CyYoung put LB Galloway on the market. GM Kobeck had to break off talks with Chicago's GM and finally put Galloway in Warthog blue using Clevelands 2020 first.
Where did all this chaos put the Warthogs heading into the draft. Well for esentially the 2019 1, 2, 4 and a 7 Fresno got veteran starters at both WR and 2 LB spots, plus depth at WR. Fresno still has a 3, 5, 6 and 7 in 2019. It ain't much draft wise, but hopefully the Warthogs have forced the window open for the playoffs.
