    Offensive Player
    of the Week - 2004, week 1

    Virgil Sepulveda, QB, Burlington Bolts

Completed 21 of 33 pass attempts for 220
yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Also had 7 rushes for 56 yards. Won Player of the
Game, as he led the Bolts to a big win over division rival, and defending
    Imperial League champs, Orlando.

    Defensive Player
    of the Week - 2004, week 1

    Ken Allmon, ILB, Oakland Assassins

    15 tackles, 1 assist, 1 sack, and 2 passes
defended. Led the young Oakland defense in a win against division rival
Vancouver, getting half way to their 2 wins of a season ago after only one
    week.

      Week 2

      Offensive Player
      of the Week - 2004, week 2

      Chris Chaplin, QB, Newark Bulldogs

Chaplin had the second most pass attempts
in a single game in Imperial League history with 52. He completed 26 of them
for 248 yards, 1 TD, and 0 INTs. It was a heck of a performance by the 8
year vet, but not enough to get the win. The Bulldogs lost in OT to Wichita,
      20-17.

      Defensive Player
      of the Week - 2004, week 2

      Hank Tran, OLB, Wichita Outlaws

Perhaps the first time both PofW have come
from the same game as Tran gets 4 tackles, 2 assists, 2 sacks, and 2 Dfn. An
all-around great game that had him running all over the field and keeping
      the Newark offense guessing.

        Week 3

        [html:ecb8964c73]

        Offensive Player
        of the Week - 2004, week 3

        Gerald Sanders, QB, West Virginia

A great game by Sanders, although an
unexpected selection with Vancouver's Allen Ho setting the single game
rushing record. Sanders went 24 of 38 for 350 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs.
Sanders and the Beast started hot against St. Louis, and could have had more
first half points if not for a missed FG and a fumble. In OT Sanders led the
team downfield to set up the game winning FG.

        Defensive Player
        of the Week - 2004, week 3

        Augustine Murray, MLB, Albuquerque Matadors

Murray is the defensive leader for this
young Matador team, and he led the way in a win over Iowa City to see their
record go to 2-1. With his 15 tackles, 3 assists, and 1 sack, Murray and his
teammates gave just enough to hold off Snipe Hunter RB Audrey Beamer from
having a huge day and to get the win.

          Week 4

          [html:43647d4cf2]

          Offensive Player
          of the Week - 2004, week 4

          Jamie Morris, QB, Columbia Fire

Julian Cartagena is NOT a product of a
system, but the system in Columbia is one of the last things he would have
to ovecome. The system there appears to be QB friendly as Jamie Morris keeps
the Fire offense burning. He completed 24 of 35 for 266 yards, 2 TDs, and no
INTs. The Fire got a big win over Vancouver, 37-6.

          Defensive Player
          of the Week - 2004, week 4

          Benedict Kaczmarek, DE, Lawrence Phantoms

Five tackles and two sacks and 3 QB hurries
put so much pressure on Fargo QB Hooten, that he was pulled from the game.
Kaczmarek and the Phantom defense held the Brave Bulls to 10 points, winning
          24-10.

            Week 5

            [html:bab99c3ddd]

            Offensive Player
            of the Week - 2004, week 5

            Gerald Sanders, QB, West Virginia

Gerald Sanders is laying claim to the title
of "Best Imperial League Quarterback" this season. He wins his second OPotW
award in the last three weeks on the back of a strong second half
performance against Wichita, that led to the first defeat of the Outlaws
this season. Completed 30 of 39 attempts for 361 yards, with 2 TDs.

            Defensive Player
            of the Week - 2004, week 5

            Monte Cordoba, SLB, Tulsa Tornadoes

He didn't rack up a ton of tackles, but he
was every where on the field for the Tornadoes, and he made things very
difficult for Vancouver's offense. He finished the game with 4 tackles, 1
assist, 1 sack, 1 INT, 2 Defenses, and 1 QB hurry. He also set the tone
pretty early in the game for Tulsa, as on Vancouver's second drive he
stuffed Allen Ho for a 1 yard loss, then two plays later got his INT against
            Colella.

              Week 6

              [html:bdd67f479c]

              Offensive Player
              of the Week - 2004, week 6

Nigel Booker, QB, Salt Lake City Stallions

Nigel Booker got back to his high
performing ways, with 270 yards passing, 1 TD and 0 INTs. He completed 18 of
25 attempts. His performance, combined with a good showing by James Tart,
got the Stallions a big win over the Columbia Fire. Through six games Booker
has surpassed his TD mark for last year, and with one more game should have
more passing yards then he did last season in twelve game.

              Defensive Player
              of the Week - 2004, week 6

Lance Delano, DE, Vancouver Killer Whales

Delano had some tough competition for this
award from teammate Kenneth Jones and his 3 INTs. Delano gets it based on
the fact that he was a big reason LR QB Ralph Given threw those INTs. Delano
had 3 sacks, 3 QB hurries, 1 Defn, and 6 tackles.

                Offensive Player
                of the Week - 2004, week 7

Dennis Colella, QB, Vancouver Killer Whales

Second week in a row for a Whale to win a
PotW award, as Lance Delano won it for defense last week. Colella was the
big time play maker this week for the Whales as e had the finest game of his
career in a shootout against the SLC Stallions. 18 of 26 pass attempts for
247 yards, 3 TD's and 1 INT. The win by Vancouver put them in a first place
tie with Reno for the NFC West.

                Defensive Player
                of the Week - 2004, week 7

                Riley Brown, DE, Madison Demons

After Madison was held to 3 points by
Newark last week, Riley Brown must have decided that was a good way to win a
game. The Demon defense kept division rival Lansing to 3 points with the
help of Brown, who had 7 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 blocked pass, and 2 QB
hurries. Madison took a two game lead in the NFC North with the win.

                  Offensive Player
                  of the Week - 2004, week 8

                  Angelo Hairston, QB, Boston Dragons

Despite being a little banged up, Hairston
was able to lead to Dragons to their first win in a month. After opening
with four straight wins, they tied one and then loss two in a row. Hairston
led a secnd half come back and had the winning TD pass with :02 eft in the
                  game. He was 20 of 33, for 330 yards, 3 TD's and 1 INT.

                  Defensive Player
                  of the Week - 2004, week 8

                  Rudolph Michell, DE, Albuquerque Matadors

Seven tackles and four assists is not even
scratching the surface of Michell's game. What got him this award is 2 sacks
and 2 forced fumbles that made things tough for Houston's Jerry St.Clair in
a game that was all over the place and ended with the Matadors winning in
                  OT.

                    Offensive Player
                    of the Week - 2004, week 9

Mark McMurray, QB, St. Louis Cardinals

Third year QB McMurray is showing is is
ready to become a top QB in this league as he has a career day against the
Fresno Chaos. He was 27 of 46 pass attempts for 400 yards passing. He broke
the Imperial League single game record for touchdowns passing with five, and
also had 3 INTs. The Cards go into first place with the VooDoo loss.

                    Defensive Player
                    of the Week - 2004, week 9

                    Abram Blake, DE, Boston Dragons

Boston gets a second straight week with a
PotW winner, following up QB Angelo Hairston's excellent effort last week.
Blake had 9 tackles, 1 assist, 2 sacks, an 2 QB hurries as the Dragons
defeat the Cleveland Clawz and move into first place of the AC East.

                      Offensive Player
                      of the Week - 2004, week 10

                      Dewitt Flynn, RB, Orlando Pirates

Orlando's 28-27 win was huge for the
Pirates. They got themselves back into the division race by knocking of the
top team Burlington. The team road on the back of Flynn, who carried the
ball 41 times for 223 yards and 2 TDs. He also had 4 receptions for 33
                      yards.

                      Defensive Player
                      of the Week - 2004, week 10

                      Lawrence Mitchell, DE, Fresno Chaos

Six tackles and four sacks, with an
additional 3 QB hurries helped shut down the Portland offense, holding them
to only 10 points. Fresno went on for their fourth win game, and if not a
contender, they have atleast shown that they are not the doormat some
                      thought.

                        Offensive Player
                        of the Week - 2004, week 11

                        Lyman Shropshire, QB, Montreal Firebirds

Not the most impressive of numbers from
Shropshire, but he had a very solid game that led his team to a big upset
win over the Wichita Outlaws. Completed 24 of 44 passes for 207 yards and 1
TD. He also added 20 yards rushing the ball, which got him one more TD.

                        Defensive Player
                        of the Week - 2004, week 11

                        Jerry Daniel, DT, Montreal Firebirds

Led the defensive attack for the Firebirds,
making a clean sweep of the awards this week for Montreal. A first in league
history. Daniel had 8 tackles, 2 assists, 3.5 sacks, 1 blocked pass, and 1
                        QB hurry.

                          Offensive Player
                          of the Week - 2004, week 12

Ralph Given, QB, Little Rock Toads

Given put up some superstar numbers, but it
had it's downside. With 33 completions he set the new single game completion
record. Those 33 passes went for 402 yards and 2 TD's. The downside was that
Given threw an INT late in the game, while trying to come back for the win.

                          Defensive Player
                          of the Week - 2004, week 12

Tod Woods, DT, Little Rock Toads

Amazing the Toads lose and get both awards.
The second week in a row both players come from the same team. Woods had a
pretty good day when looking at his stats. 7 tackles, 1 assist, 3.5 sacks,
and 1 QB hurry. By far his best day yet as a Toad.

                            Offensive Player
                            of the Week - 2004, week 13

                            Virgil Sepulveda, QB, Burlington Bolts

The Bolts outscored the high powered
offense of the Little Rock Toads, and Sepulveda led the way. He threw 18
completions in 34 attempts, getting 264 yards and 4 TDs. Though most of this
came in the high flying first half, Sepulveda used their second half drives
to eat up the clock and limited the Toads chances.

                            Defensive Player
                            of the Week - 2004, week 13

                            Myron McCartney, DE, Columbia Fire

This award could have gone to McCartney or
his teammate, MLB John Maynard. Myron gets the edge because of his
disruption of the passing game and the overall impact he had. He finished
the day with 5 tackles, 1 assist, 3 sacks, 1 blck, and 1 QB hurry. The Fire
won a big game over the Madison Demons.
