  • "The Future" Is Now

Chris Andrews has been outstanding in the IFL for 5 seasons. He burst onto the scene with a record breaking rookie season. That season Andrews caught 101 balls for 1571 yards and a record breaking 18 touchdowns. Since that season, Andrews has been one of the better receivers in the league. But he never produced like he did his record breaking rookie season. That is until this season.
This season Andrews demolished several records in one of the most unbelievable seasons ever produced by a player. Andrews broke the single season receiving yards record, the single season receiving touchdown record, and almost doubled the YAC single season record. The numbers are incredible.
121 receptions for 2381 yards, 21 touchdowns and 1044 yards after the catch. Mind-boggling, eye-popping and every other superlative you can think of. "The Future" truly is, now.

I remember the draft that year so well. I wanted to pick Andrews so bad and was hoping he would fall down to me. I thought he was one of the top players in the draft that year and was surprised he wasn't take way way earlier. A lot of GM's dropped the ball passing on him.

I don't think his receiving yards or YAC in a season will ever be broken.

        yep, that's right.
After Andrews was picked, I traded out of my spot with Cy for a future 1st and some other stuff.
Cy picked WR Terry Wolfe......who broke the records for drops this year.

        EDIT

Not baggin on Wolfe. Despite the drops, he had a terrific year with the Lions

1st WR taken that draft. Hard to believe. Notice 2 of the most prolific offenses choose stud WRs that season.

Andrews also set the single game receiving yards record with 267. He now has 3 of the top 8 single game receiving yards performances.

                          Hey

Leave Wolfe alone. He's having a fine carreer with us. It's just because Hamilton is throwing too hard. That and the fact that I have to throw him the ball 200 times a season.

I remember that draft too. I tried several times to trade up to get Andrews but wasn't able to. Then I traded up to get my 2nd choice.
