I would vote for Doyle if i voted but Portland's SS Craig had a outstanding season himself but i would give it up for Doyle.2003,2004,2007,2008,2010,2013,2024,2025,2031,2037, 2038 and 2039 NC North Division Champions, 2012 and 2017 Wild Card

It's hard to go against Gene Hamilton in any offensive category other than rookie of the year. I don't know how you even make a case. He had a magical run.
I'm not even going to try and pimp Jamison........though I'll take all the votes I can get!! Jamison had a great year averaging over 5ypc despite being the focal point of our offense. In other words, people knew wee were gonna run and he still avg'd 5 yards every time he carried the ball. He was easily our MVP.
I also want to pimp my Vermont Moutaineer counterprt Sherman Gerhardt. What was the reason for Vermont's success last year? How about a rookie RB that ran for 1000yds. the same guy helped Virgil have his best year as a pro and helped Vermont have their best season since maybe their IMperial bowl winning season.NEWARK BULLDOGS WALL OF HONOR

Not to mention:Originally posted by CyYoung View PostNormaly I would say yes, but Hamilton had a MONSTER YEAR
He had 500 more yards than anybody in the league, 43 TDs and only 11 ints and a rating of 104.9. He won the Imperial Bowl by himself
We'll see if all this Hamilton hating will blind you guys into naming someone else as the OPOTY
In 2016 it was Matt Sanford:
In 2015 it was Deron Markel:Most Valuable Player
QB Matt Sanford, Tulsa TigerHawks
After 3 straight seasons of coming up short, including an Imperial Bowl loss in 2015, QB Matt Sanford finaly led the TigerHawks to the promised land in 2016. After another stellar regular season, Sanford was nearly flawless in the playoffs, including 3 touchdowns in the National Conference title game and a record 78% completion percentage in the Imperial Bowl which earned him MVP honors.
With this award Sanford steps into the upper echelon of Imperial league stars past and present.
In 2014 it was:QB Deron Markel, West Virginia Beasts
Always a steady hand, Markels asscenion to the top actualy began in 2014 when he took over for highly regarded Chad Harding and led The Beasts to their first Imperial Bowl championship. In 2015 Markel proved it was no fluke. Putting up not only gaudy stats but displaying a workmanlike leadership he led the Beasts to their 2nd straight title. In the 10 seasons before Markel arrived in WV the beasts had not won a playoff game. Since his arrival the team has won 6 straight. If that doesn't scream MVP I don't know what does.
Markels win should be noted as one of the tightest races in awards history as a scant 1 vote seperated him and QB Jon Cavazos. Fittingly, Cavazos is almost a carbon copy of Markel, a longtime solid hand whos leadership on and off the field led Pennsylvania to a stunning 14-2 record. With Jons signing in Norfolk during the offseason it'll be a fun watch as two of the IFL's top field generals compete in the same division.
2013? Yep, another quarterback:Most Valuable Player
QB Ottis Peterson, Murfreesboro Mules
I could go on and on and on. Quarterback is the easy pick. Hell I don't care if people don't vote for Wilson, but lets get a bit more creative or create a "Quarterback of the Year" award so someone besides the quarterback who had the best year actually has a chance at this award. There's a ton of deserving players over the years who get passed over.So without further pondering from me, may I present to you, America, the 2013 Imperial League MVP.
QB Gene Hamilton, Lansing Ogres

Ummm, after looking at Kollars stats for last year I can say I'm not sure if the split between Doyle's 13 and a half sacks an Kollars 5 is exactly "similar numbers". I also think Kollars 48 solo tackles from the linebacker position is hurting him. I realize he's strictly a blitzing linebacker, but I would guess anything under 100 tackles as a linebacker hurt his rating. I'm thinking the game just see's him as a linebacker rather then a specialist linebacker(blitzing). Add to that the fact the WLB gets pulled off the field quite a bit in certain situations which hurt his rating. Us players know the numbers from that position is strong, but the game may not.Originally posted by BOSS View PostI don't think he ran away with it. Shit, my guy (Kollars) had a hell of a year too which is pretty comparable to Doyle. Thats why i don't vote in this because examples are put up of contenders and some of these guys i don't understand why they are up there. When you give examples, guys won't look for anyone else. Vote and get it over with basically.
Doyle and Kollars have similar numbers. Doyle has him in sacks which should give him the nod over Kollars. Kollars had 10 more hurries (IFL record) 3 more knockdowns in 119 less plays then Doyle.
I would give my vote to Doyle when push came to shove but Kollars is right there with him.

I don't know whether to be happy or insulted that the losing team in the Super Bowl doesn't have one player on this list ;-)

I just copy/pasted the top 5 from each category. I'm honestly unaware what point scale the program is using to grade the players. Hey, the game gave Doyle DPOTY, and this point system only has him ranked 3rd, so it's not personal, believe me!Originally posted by Chris Rex View PostI don't know whether to be happy or insulted that the losing team in the Super Bowl doesn't have one player on this list ;-)
