In a stunningly quick offseason move, Jave sat down with newly acquired left tackle Troy Stickney, and after only an hour and a half, emerged from the office with a beaming smile and announced that he had signed a 5 year, 62.5 million dollar deal.
"This is probably the apex of all my years in Oakland" announced Jave. In 2 days Jave has signed quarterback Horace Donovan, running back Geoff "Hurricane" Wilson, defensive end Rickey Doyle and new left tackle Troy Stickney.
"This was the most difficult offseason in my life, and it's only due to the unselfishness of these great players, and team leaders that we were able to accomplish this for the city of Oakland. I couldn't be prouder then I am today"!
In addition, Jave has also resigned the key role players to 2 year deals, Safety Zach Borders, Left tackle Dale Sall, wide receiver Scottie Kirk, receiver Mitchell Brown, weakside linebacker Ben Andersen, guard Blake Bozeman, backup runningback Rico Bailey and starting receiver Joe Gregoire.
In the past Oakland hasn't been able to put it all together but this year may be the breaker for Oakland as every key member of this team returns in addition to bringing in what could be the leagues best, and brightest young left tackle, Stickney.
Jave has done the city proud, and were not even halfway through the offseason yet. We can't wait to see what this years draft brings us! Thanks Jave!
