I can only hope and pray ... after opening the season with 5 straight losses, the Vipers have managed to scrape 4 wins in a row. Far from a re-break through, but we are trying.

Jester, remember 2012 ... when you lost 8 of the first 9 and then proceeded to run off the last 7 games, ending up 8-8 and just missing the playoffs by one game. At the end of that season, you were the hottest team around and no one wanted to play the Phantoms. IMO, that comeback season ranks up there as one of your best coaching jobs.

I am trying to take a page out of your book and may have a chance to slide into the playoffs - since I haven't dug as deep of a whole as you did that season.

I'm hoping if I'm ever in a gray area of doubt over "tanking" that 2012 would give me the benefit. Thinking back that was one of the most fun seasons for me... after the losing stopped and the race to catch Newark started. BTW - It was mere percentage/tie-breaker points that we missed the post-season - not even a full game.

And looking back had we tanked the season out there would have been a Situation on our hands the next off-season and the IFL's recent history might be changed somewhat. You're welcome, Matt!

Good luck with your 2017 rendition! Hopefully the end for you is more Hollywood than our Coming-of-Age flick.

That was an amazing season for sure. Lawrence kept winning and we kept losing.
We did end up winning the division (I think) but next to nothing. Tie breakers/points scored type of thing.
You never know what will happen in a season. I've learned that many many times. I had a bad record one season but was in the top 10 on both defense and offense. Shit happens.
A lot is left to die rolls. You can only xontrol the percentages for where they will fall.
