That was Sanfords 3rd season. He wasnt quite ready for prime time. He completed 59% of his passes which is average, and below average for this league in that version of the game. I only had one WR. That was Brick.
And the division was insane that season. Texas and Little Rock were both 13-3 and Georgia was 8-8.
Im not sure if we were balanced it would have made much of a difference in our record.

I can see that. Tough fucking division. And getting all the right pieces in place takes time and sometimes you see it, sometimes you don't.

Love the special teams thinking. I agree with just about everything... except telling everyone.

2013 was the beginning of the winning. We went 13-3 that season. Won our first in a succession of division titles. Sanford set the single season record for QB rating with a 124.0 rating. Brick caught 84 passes for 1324 yards and surpassed the single season record for receiving TDs. But the offensive buzz surrounded rookie receiver Chris Andrews. He had 101 receptions for 1571 yards. Both rookie records. And Andrews set the single season record for receiving TDs with 18. It was truly a year of offense. Unfortunately. Lawrence beat us in the playoffs.

            Defensive Line

I like playing a 4-3. Always have. I feel very comfortable with it. In that system, these are the things I look for in the defensive line. I like rol;e players, if I cant get a stud. But actually, role players are better due to cost. Sure the 90 rated DT is an awesome weapon, but you pay for it. The attributes I value most are run stopping and pass rush technique and endurance. Everything else is gravy. DT D.J. Barrios is a perfect example. Check out his stats. The other tackle doesnt have to be great. Balance is nice there. But If I have one good DT, Im happy. I like my back up DTs to have balance as well. At defensive end, I look for a 3 man rotation. One defensive end needs to be a run stopper, the other more of the balanced type. I look for a pure pass rusher for my 3rd DE. He will play in nickel and dime and back up both DE positions. This rotation proves very effective for me. Price is lower and Im able to find the type of guy I want in FA much easier. As these types tend to pop up.
EDIT: I wanted to add in Prescotts stats. He is the perfect 3rd DE in my system. He had 4 career sacks in 5 seasons before coming to Tulsa. He has 32.5 sacks in the 5 season while I have had him.

            Linebackers next.
