KEEP CHRISTMAS in the MORNING - AN EDITORIAL
Every teams' pre-draft lists are loosely hanging on their war rooms boards. Names have been scratched out and strange unintelligible notations are found scribbled all over. Yes, the hard work is over and all that remains are the hopes and dreams of excited general managers. They, one and all, just can't sit still :dancemonkey: and all seem to have reverted to their childhood days. Yes, they have fond memories of the Christmas mornings from their boyhood days, when the waiting was just not fair ... just not fair at all ... and the excitement was too much to bear ... but when that morning came, there was not a time that could beat it! Now they are all grown men, some with children of their own ... and all muse ... "Isn't it nice to feel that way once again, just like a little boy. Christmas in the IFL."
In the IFL, Christmas does come once a season. That is when training camp has ended. That is when each GMs' prized prospects have its Combines' fancy ribbons, bows and wrappings torn away ... and now the naked truth is left for them to see.
The scale of emotions will range from :jerkit: to
. It is just that kind of day.
The IFL Christmas countdown is now at six days and counting. During this wait, GMs will need to amuse themselves by plowing through FA2 or continue boasting about what they think they will discover under the tree.
Yes, Santa is coming to town but the schedule says it will not be in the morning when all the boys get out of bed. It is on Sunday night.
Hey Commishes, in the spirit of Christmas' past, can we open our presents on Sunday morning? Pretty please.
