#1 Madison -5.5 @ Orlando
Madison has a decent passing game and a top 5 run defense. Their main weakness this year has been their last place pass defense. I dont think they will have to worry about that against Orlandos #19 ranked pass offense. If Madison can contain Otis Daniels this will be an easy win.
#2 GAME OF THE MONTH Vancouver -3 @ Oakland
Oakland. At home. Man I hate to say it but Oakland is just the must cursed franchise in IFL history. Plus Vancouver has the #3 rushing attack With Curtis Schneggenburger avging over 6 yards a carry this year and J.B. Lincoln almost avging 5 yards a carry. They have split carries about 60:40 this year and they are up against Oaklands #28 rushing defense. Teams who play oakland avg 5.01 yards per carry. I think this 2 headed monster from Vancouver will have a field day. Also what stands out to me? Vancouver has been one of the best teams in the league in turnover margin this year with a +8. Oakland's is -2.
#3 Dakota +6.5 vs Lansing.
I love home dogs. When a team is playing at home and has a legit chance of winning you gotta take the points. Dakota played Lansing tight in a 31-27 loss @ lansing earlier this year. I am feeling safe with Dakota and over a Touchdown worth of points in this game. Lansing statistically looks like the better team but Im not impressed. Their wins have been at home vs DAK STL GEO ORL and on the road against VER. Power rankings of these teams? 25,27,28,30, and 31. I'd say Lansing is good at beating up on the weak and frail teams in the league especially when they are at home.
#4 Anchorage PICK @ Fresno
Simple here. Taking the better team in a PICK game. Anchorage has one of the best rushing attacks this league has ever seen to date. They have 2 running backs avging over 6.16 yards per carry. The 2 backs split carries 50:50. Shawn Galloway leads the league in YPC avging almost 7 yards per carry. Fresno has the 17th ranked run defense. I like Anchorage to just pound it down their throats.
