Thank you for purchaseing this weeks package. George's picks for this week are.
1. Dakota -6.5 vs Vermont.
I usually wouldn't like dakota to cover a spread like this. This year dakota has played some very good teams on the road and have been in those games till the end. The one home game they have had so far was against Louisiana and they blew them out 44-13. I expect another strong showing from Dakota at home against a 0-5 Vermont team. Dakota is mediocre on paper right in the middle of the pack in alot of stats. but Vermont is at the back of the pack. 31st in run defense 27th in pass defense will give a mediocre Dakota offense who is ranked 12th in the run 24th in the pass a chance to rack up points.
2. Oakland -0.5 vs Texas
Home Cookin' going to do it for Oakland this week. Oakland very well may be the most cursed team in IFL history but this week They are playing one of the statistically worst teams in the league and the spread is so tiny. Gotta like Oakland's more talented team at home to win this game.
3. Orlando +10.5 @ Lansing
Lansing is over rated. They have beaten weak competition by close scores all year. This spread is way too huge for this game. Lansing may have the #1 pass game in the IFL to date but they are playing the #5 pass defense. Lansing only beat Dakota at home by 4 , Georgia at home by 4, and by 3 at winless vermont. I expect another game like this against Orlando. Take the Points.
4. Madison +2.5 vs Newark
You gotta love a team getting points at home that could very well win the game outright. Newark has the #5 ranked rush offense spearheaded by Their new RB Jamison. He will be on the road in a hostile environment against Madisons #3 ranked rush defense. I see the situation being a non situation this weekend at madison making it hard for Newark to move the ball and score points. Madison will be going up against the #2 run defense but their bread and butter is their #4 ranked passing game. They should have an easy going of it against Newark's #21 ranked pass defense and a defense who is last in the league at holding teams on 3rd down. Newark's defense gives up the 3rd down converstion 49% of the time.
