Wichita shop for....Beans??

The Outlaws were looking for 'Mean Beanz'!!
Ukpatfan is the new British GM in Wichita and he faced the first major decision of his tenure on Friday, as the 2016 IFL draft got underway at the Radio City Music Hall, New York.
Holding the fourth pick in the 1st round of the draft, ukpatfan knew that this selection at such an early stage of the round could make or break the Outlaws over the next couple of seasons.
Well, the Outlaws’ fan breathed a huge sigh of relief as their team didn’t take a punter in the 1st round, but instead drafted a defensive monster out of Mississippi State, Inside Linebacker Thomas ‘Heinz’ Bean.

'Mean Tommy Bean' throws aside an opponent
Thomas Bean is a 6’01” ft, 243 lb ‘Mike’ linebacker who excelled during his college football career for the Bulldogs.
Bean quickly developed a reputation as one of the most ferocious run stoppers in the country capable of delivering a devastating hit to stop any running back in his tracks.
However, the star is far more than just a crunching tackler.
The Bulldog’s coaching staff say he is one of the smartest defenders they have ever coached and Bean obviously knows how to play.
He has a real talent for lurking in the middle of the action and launching himself at the point of attack bringing the offense to a jarring halt.
Able to play pass coverage when needed and with a real eye for rushing the QB, Bean is the complete linebacker.
Already a top prospect entering the draft, Bean’s fantastic performance at the combines further enhanced his stock and ultimately he was rated amongst the top three players in the whole draft.
Ukpatfan had this to say during the press conference following the selection:
“We’re ecstatic that we have been able to draft this exceptionally talented young man and bring him to Wichita to play his football.
We have a fine D taking shape here but wanted a lynchpin in the middle around which we could build a truly great unit.
He will be an absolute beast in the middle of the field and will become the foundation of our 4-3 defensive scheme.
Wes Martin is now entering his 10th year and we believe Thomas will provide a seamless transition when Wes decides to hang up his cleats.
Throw in the bonus that Thomas will benefit from a season or two learning from one of the best inside linebackers in the business and it’s clear that drafting Bean was a no brainer for us.
Yes, we considered taking one of the DT’s, but as both of those had gone by our slot, it was all academic really.
We didn’t want to pay a hefty price in order to move up slightly and in the end we were able to take one of the best defenders entering the league and one that will also allow us to continue the tradition of excellent Outlaws linebacking.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a 2nd round choice to make.....”
