  • Colbert Trivia #1

My old pal Trivia Bytes has honored us all with excellent questions in recent times. Here in America we believe that imitation, or mockery if you will, is the highest form of flattery. To that end the Colbert crew offers up to the IFL Nation a few more inquiries to test the IQ of the individuals that make up the glue of our glorious league wall starting with the following.

We all know that no QB rushes even close to Vermont's Virgil Sepulveda. Or at least any American with cable does! Who is the QB with the 2nd most rushing yards in IFL History?

Unlike TB who's prompt and responsible my polls end when I say they do!!
    8
    Mark McMurray
    12.50%
    1
    Tobias Stanfield
    62.50%
    5
    Chris Chaplin
    12.50%
    1
    Alvin Mann
    12.50%
    1

    The poll is expired.

I am the IFL and so can you!

      Continuing with Matt's spoiler...

When the league started I picked Stanfield based on Avoid INTs and Avoid Fumbles. Whenever I sack another QB or tackle him on the run (not sure if FOF QB's slide) I hope for a fumble. With Stanfield I confidently say "Not MY guy!".

Oh, and since I'm a homer and believe I have the best of all-time - no disrespect to Lozier who I'd probably choose if I wasn't a homer - I pick Stanfield any time I see his name in a poll.

I pick stanfield too, just based on going to war 2 times minimum per year. He's a man!

Looking back at it Stanfield has fumbled 35 times in 12 seasons. That might not seem great until you consider he's 2nd in the all time sack list with 287!!!

Not sure what others think but I feel being sacked has the highest fumble ratio of any play result in the game.

Agreed, Opie takes a lot of hits/Sacks and coughes the ball up too the point that he is a couple of Fumbles away from the all time lead

Sacks and (maybe?) fumbles was what had Stanfield ahead of him this season in OPOY tracking by Vic. Opie had a slight edge all season in most, if not all, of the passing categories but the times sacked was pretty drastic if I remember correctly.

Of course as time has gone on I feel like I half-cheated the league since I took my guy when certain attributes were visible that have now become hidden - at least to those of us who don't follow the scientific formulas at FOFC which seem to spell out the hidden attributes in detail based on a few threads I've perused but walked away from due to most likely spoiling the game for me.

Knowing that more INTs come as a result of zone defense over M2M makes you a football fan to me. Knowing that a player will do this or that on the field based on his zodiac sign devided by the limit of his age to square root of his fan popularity? You're a nerd!

Tobias Stanfield is the correct answer with 2913 rushing yards. If TB or someone with the knowledge would tell me how to see which GM voted for whom I'd proudly list their names for all to see and bow to!

It's obviously good to see my guy at the "top" of a list... but damn, when a question has to exclude someone to keep it from being too easy... that someone is the man!!
