League sources are looking into head referee Vinny Toscano's background after a very controversial offsides call on Tulsa MLB Kurt Becnel.
Toscano could not be reached for comment. The league has confirmed reports that Toscano missed his flight after the game. In the Tulsa-Texas game last week, with Tulsa leading 35-31, the penalty was called. There was 6 seconds left in the game, when the controversial call was made.
