You certainly might be right on the seasonal stats but for the 1 game against me these two traumatized me. :injured:
Ok, maybe I haven't explained myself clearly. I think I am making sound like I think they are not great, game changing players. They are. I was just drawing the comparison to my teams, and how the team just wins, and it isn't always from player X getting 2 INTs and player Y having 3 TD receptions.

Watt had 12 receptions on you. The game before that it was Gomez who had 8 to lead Texas, and Watt only had 4. Before that Texas had Trimble return a INT for 6 and there were not really any impressive stats on offense. Against Tulsa they had 4 rushing TDs from two RBs who combined for 120 yards rushing.

That is what I am saying. They mix it up, and they win in different ways. The huge stats are not always there, but as was the case against you and Tulsa there were some stand out guys. And they are scoring a lot, in different ways.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

I've found that balance, cohesion and good back-up's are the key to my teams. Here is a summary of my teams that are in a active season.

      CFL-NED--13-2 PPGF-28.9 PPGA-15.4
      IFL-TEX---5-0 PPGF-36.0 PPGA-19.8
      EFL-NED---6-2 PPGF-27.8 PPGA-12.9
      DFL-ATL---5-1-1 PPGF-29.9 PPGA-15.6
      SHI-TUC---5-7 PPGF-17.8 PPGA-23.6
      AVG-28.1 AVG -17.5

Tucson in the Shiba league, after starting 4-2 have went 1-5 due to major injuries to 4 starters.
My point is, I try to bring in a fairly average team across the board. All these teams are about 3-4 seasons into my "plan" and I think it's working. I'd rather have two 50/50 players than one 70/70 player. I have other secrets that I can not reveil. Other than the big dose of luck.;-)

I've got to agree with Texas' and Little Rock's take on the game -- good to very good players, little turnover and lots of depth has been the Norfolk formula.

... once structured, age will come to haunt the built-up cohesion in any season but usually no more than one or two holes need to be mended. But now my team is held together by duct tape as the normal one or two holes has mathematically exploded. Still a good approach to the game ... it has served the Vipers well.

Trying to find a way to get back on the train.

POLLSTERS --- a short week with two games.

Try to get your lists in for Week 6 (today's games) by Tuesday, 8PM. I will try to compile and post that evening.

For Thursday's game, please get lists in by Saturday, 2PM. I will post that day.

Thanks to those that already have sent in their lists this week! This seems to be a feature of the league that all enjoy.

That is crazy. Only 11 teams in the playoffs this year, FOF has had it's mind blown.

Tulsa is getting less respect then I thought they would. Top four is unchanged, with Newark and Norfolk moving on up....

A special thanks to pollster Cringer who got his votes in despite being subjected to hurricane conditions.
TB hopes that all is safe, under control in South Texas and will be saying goodbye to Dolly very soon.
