After reviewing the game film, and talking with coaches and players, we realized that at this point we need to water down the game plan, and simplify things a bit. We have decided to chop the number of plays in half, and go back to the basics. The team will concentrate on blocking schemes, and basic pass protection, quick hitting plays that require less of the quarterback, and less chance for failure. This will allow our team to develop at a reasonable rate, without throwing them to the wolves with the usual 100+ play game books that we started with. The defense is getting a overhaul as well, although, they played considerably better then the offense. There were some outstanding performances by the defensive unit, and this team will be a serious contender in the comming months. We could have considered last weeks game a failure, however, we consider it a learning experience, and you will start to see major improvments this week against Reno.
