Jesse Lewis getting Axed?

The rumor mill is hot and heavy right now in Newark, just hours after the Bulldogs dropped another game this season. There is speculation that Lewis was called in to GM Matt's office right after the game. 2 hours later, Lewis walked out looking beaten, worn, and defeated. Speculation is that Matt fired Lewis effective 1 hour after the last game. With Lewis, it's expected that OC Derrick Salazar may be moving with Lewis. Organization managment is not happy with the development of the young WR's, and star RB Alan Crespo does not get along with Salazar.

There is no question that Newark has been shopping for a replacement to Lewis for the past 2 offeseasons. Unable to agree on terms with other candidates, Newark has stuck with Lewis. This offseason will be an important one in the development of the Bulldogs.

I really hope you think hard on this one before that time comes. Coach's like Lewis aren't common and you're not even having a bad season, just an average one and you're still in the post-season hunt.

The injury rating is tough but maybe put even more time into "injury avoidance" in training camp?

I did knock down my weight training a wee bit because I thought my new turf would help out. I'm not too happy with the results :?

The season is over and the Bulldogs are poised to make a move in the coaching department this offseason. Lewis has yet to be notified of his position, but he still has 1 year left on his current contract. If he is replaced, GM Matt will have a lot of candidates available to choose from. Among them are current HC Jake Lentz, CJ Gunn, and Freddie Cristal whom all are considered the top available HC's. Which way the Bulldogs go is anyone's guess.

No doubt. My confidence took a huge hit with the Peacock retirement (who I was counting on to be about an 80 OVR DE by playoff time) and various losses in talent.

don't sell yourself short yet. You have had some great drafts over the years.

Problem is that "great drafts" rely 100% on other GM's letting the players fall so you can never bank on it.

I don't think I've gotten any worse at talent evaluating... have other GM's gotten better??? I assume so and will find out in due time.
