The Lawrence Phantoms, fresh off a win over conference rival Oakland, have patch-worked themselves to an NFC best 10-2 record. They've proven they can win by way of run, pass, and balanced offense, with a touch of shutdown 'D' regardless of offensive choice.
Apparently well on their way to their first division title the Phantoms face the difficult choice between going "balls out" and playing all starters in an attempt to continue the current winning streak and sitting certain key players to maintain a "full line-up" for the post-season.
Weighing in on the choice is an upcoming game against California who, despite the conference difference, has a clear line of communication to the Phantoms shown on both past trades, almost-trades, and media volley'd discussions.
"They're fun. They're lively. We have fun here and there throwin' verbal chin checks... I like the activity that he (HA) brings to the league", says Lawrence owner/GM Jester Blaze. But he concludes "What I have in mind goes way beyond this game. There are a lot of variables and calculations to be made before Sunday. We could go in any direction, both depth chart and scheme-wise, at the moment. I'd never let you guys know."
Regardless of who plays on Sunday the Phantom Phaithful have got to be excited about this season and our playoff chances going forward. This has easily been the best Phantom season in existence and shows no signs of stopping any time soon...
