Everything is rosy in Phantom-land as the beloved have won their last 6 and have done so with extreme ease.
Since a week 4 loss to long-time NFC powerhouse Little Rock, most if not all Lawrence games have been over before the final quarter. Bucky Beaver has been a savior of the Lawrence running game, and although he just went down tonight to a strained deltoid muscle, you can bet your bottom dollar that he'll be back in time for a playoff run.
There is not a single area of football in which the Phantoms are not performing very well or better. Owner Jester Blaze has even been outspoken in the media recently bragging that the product of his creation will continue their current run right through the playoffs and the rival AFC - a stance which doesn't excite head coach Hunter Crawford.
"We're very fortunate to be where we are," said Crawford after tonight's victory over division-rival Orlando. "But we've still got so much work to do. We're coming up against a tough part of our schedule and the injury bug is showing it's face. Time will tell what will happen."
When pressed about the differences between he and owner Mr. Blaze Hunter had the following to say: "He runs off at the mouth. That's his personality. We're both very aware of our differences in approach to things and although he makes it very tough at times during the season, I think ultimately we work well together."
Their current 8-2 record echoes that statement!
