1. First of all, tough break or pull with Hickman. Sitting now with a 5-5 record despite losing your starting QB in the first game, are you happy with your team's performance?


I am pleased with the team's performance. We could easily be sitting at 7-3 right now and in the driver's seat for the division title. We beat Norfolk at their place, and barring an absolute miracle for Norfolk should have beat them at our house. I still don't know why some of the decisions were made during that game, but we are looking into them.


2. What reasoning did you use when your chose to go with Mulcahy over Norton?

The main reason we chose to go with Mulcahy was that he has been around the league longer and has a better handle on how to run a team than Norton does. We felt that if we needed someone to make a critical 3rd down throw, who should be making that throw? Our answer was Mulcahy.

Now, if this was a long term move, than we would have gone with Norton, but Jim is supposed to be back in a week or two, so we opted to go with the vet.


3. You've said publicly that you feel that the gap has narrowed between Norfolk and the rest of the division. What does Hartford need to do to take control of the AFC East?


That's easy. We have a healthy Jim Hickman and you're asking what did we did to get back to the top of the division. Our defense is there, barring a few collapses, our offense is the best it has ever been, even without our starting QB, our big fear is the offseason. Are we going to lose Bryce Tan and Roy Brown? If we do, we better be in a position to replace them.


4. With the return of Jim Hickman, can this team make the playoffs this year?

That is going to be tough. I think we can, but we need to have a lot of things fall our way. Unfortunately, our competition for the last WC spot is Albuquerque and Portland and we dropped both games. So we need to win the rest of our games to have a good chance of making the playoffs. We should have a pretty good shot at doing that, but we can't make any mistakes.


5. Besides your own, who are some of the players or teams that you like to watch on Sunday's?


The Colonel is right up there. Even though he ripped our hearts out plenty of times he was a joy to watch. I love watching Crespo and Newark, they took our brand of football to a new level. I love our current crop of backs, but I'd love to have Crespo in a Grizzly uniform. We also keep an eye on Norfolk, they may not have any great players outside of Lozier, but they win with a team concept, much as we do.
