Anchorage (9-0) At Portland (4-5)
What an intriguing game this is. The 9-0 Lynxx head into Portland where the Seals have been clubbing opponents left and right. The Seals 4 game win streak, while impressive, amounts to a boxer dukeing it out with sparring partners before stepping into the ring with Mike Tyson (circa 1986 of course). The Lynxx come to town looking to continue a storybook season that has them undefeated so far. No doubt that anytime two top 5 QB's match up against each other it oughta be a doozy of a game. One would expect a pretty explosive matchup in Portland on Sunday.
California (2-7) At Albuquerque (5-4)
A real catch 22 game here for the Matadors. The Heroes have nothing to play for except to screw up other teams seasons. Does Hell Atlantic take gleefull pride in being in that position? The Matadors are in a real playoff fight right now and every game is uber crucial. So despite the records you know that this has the potential to be a good one.
Houston (7-2) At Louisiana (4-5)
Nigel Booker has led an uprising in Houston. The Renegades are now a top notch team with visions of Imperial Bowl victories dancing in their heads. But they go to Louisiana on Sunday where the Voodoo, who still have real playoff possibilities, await them. A huge game for both teams. Add in the division rivalry and this one has some real FGP, Fun Game Potential baby!
Iowa City (4-5) At Cleveland (1-8)
The Snipe Hunters are another team looking to stay in the playoff chase and they need to take care of buisness in Cleveland on Sunday. The Clawz may be 1-8, but nothing brings out the best in a team like a division opponent who desperately needs a win.
Lansing (4-5) At Pittsburgh (4-5)
3 Straight wins for the Ogres and 2 straight Losses for the Power have made this baby much more intruiging than it would have been a few weeks back. Suddenly the winner of this game is in the playoff hunt (jumbled and clogged as it may be) while the loser may have to start thinking about next season. Lansing has risen from the ashes, while the Power have slip, slided away. Even though these teams have been heading in opposite directions you just know that they'll both bring their A games in this storied rivalry with so much on the line.
Little Rock (3-6) At Tulsa (5-4)
The Cows were one of the seasons big early stories. But opponents have keyed in on Devon Taylor and slowed this one track offense down. Now the underperforming and underwhelming Toads come to town and look to make the most out of whats left of their season by ruining it for others.
Madison (6-3) At Dakota (3-6)
A 2nd straight road game for the Demons and Irby and Bell march into Dakota and look to take care of buisness. Records and talent level aside, you know that any division game on the road is gonna be tougher than it looks and i'm sure that despite being in the midst of hard season, the Spirit will bring their A game in an attempt to bring the Demons back to the pack in the NFC North.
Murfreesboro (3-6) At St. Louis (7-2)
A thrid straight road game for the Mules, who despite their record, continue to play and fight hard every week. They march into St. Louis where the Cardinals and Mark McMurray can't afford any sort of let down. Oppie Peterson has looked solid if Unspectacular since his return and you know the Mules wanna drive the proverbial dagger into the chests of the Cards.
Newark (6-3) At Vermont (4-5)
The Mountaineers snapped a 4 game losing streak last week against the Stallions, and now, in the 2nd of 4 straight home games, look to do the same to the Bulldogs. This is almost a do or die game for the Mountaineers who have to get healthy and get some wins during this homestand, and what better way to continue that than to stop the East leading Bulldogs. The Bulldogs also had a big week 10 win against Lawrence so you know these 2 bigshots are just chomping at the bit to collide on Sunday. One things for sure, A win by Vermont makes the East a much tighter race as we head down the homestretch.
Norfolk (6-3) At Hartford (5-4)
Perhaps the biggest game that the Grizzlies have played since 2004. They welcome the Vipers to town on Sunday in a game that could give them the AFC East lead and force Norfolk to win the division outright (Hartford beat the Vipers in week 1 remember) The Northeast may be inundated with rain but that may only add to the lore of this game. Expect a battle in the trenches as Hartford looks to userp the near 4 year stranglehold Norfolk has had on the division. Harold Lozier and company are no strangers to big games however, guaranteeing this one to be one of the more interesting and watched games of the season.
Oakland (6-3) At Salt Lake City (6-3)
How many personalities can 1 game take before it explodes in on itself? Vito, Jeff, Tart, Hamilton, Jave, Martinez, the 2004 playoff game. The lore in this one may be unprecedented. The Stallions won in Oakland in week 1 in ovetime after nearly 5 quarters on explosive football, and now here we are again. A Salt Lake City win gives them the tie breaker over Oakland forcing the Owls into a corner for the stretch run. Vito has made Chris Chaplin a top tier quarterback but they're will always be questions about his heart, and they're isnt a bigger guage of that than a game like this. You know the Stallion faithfull will be out in droves for this one as the storied franchises and owners prepare to do battle in what will likely be a very gigantic game in the grand scheme of things this season.
Orlando (4-5) At Lawrence (5-4)
After a 3-0 start, the Pirates find themselves in the unenviable position of going on the road to Lawrence for what pretty much amounts to a "must win" game. While the Phantoms, off loses to Newark and Oakland sandwiched between a bye week, have had a pretty dreadfull month. One things for sure, Lawrence needs to win games like these to be considered a force in the NFC. Tobias Stansfield has had another top notch season but the Phantom running game is very phantom like, in that we havn't seen it yet. The Pirates meanwhile were top the cats meow early in the season, but the brutal and likely career ending injury to Harrison Hynes in week 4 has put a solem cloud over Orlandos season. Second year man Conrad Twyner has struggled lest far and im sure the Lawrence is set to feast on him Sunday.
Vancouver (5-4) At Reno (5-4)
What a big game this is. Two teams who are the epitomy of eveness. The Whales suffered a heart breaking loss last week at home against Oakland but havn't had time to wallow, they head right back out on the road for another huge division matchup in Reno where Costanzo and Crosby await them. The story in this one is the matchup of 2 of the IFL's elite backs. Jacques Crosby and Wesley Connell, both already at the 1000 yard mark and both looking to make a statment about who is the premier back in the league. With both teams at 5-4 the winner of this one is gonna have a nice leg up heading into the seasons final 7 games so expect a real battle in the trenches, old school southern football played in the Nevada desert, nice.
West Virginia (1-8) At Boston (2-7)
Even bad teams can make for fun matchups. Boston is much better than they're record indicates but these two teams have had some really fun battles over the past couple of years. The Beasts only non loss last year came in Boston, where the 2 teams fought to a fun 20-20 tie. And in week 1 this season it took the Dragons nearly 5 quarters to finaly dispatch of the pesky Beasts. One might suggest that if there is any game that could make a 1-8 team and their fans get excited about Sunday, this is it.I luv British womenz.

Perhaps? This is the biggest game we've played since that AC Title loss in Anchorage. Norfolk v. Hartford has replaced Hartford v. West Virginia and West Virginia v. Norfolk as the current rivalry in the east. Currently the series favors Norfolk 6 - 5. We'll have to change that on Sunday.Originally posted by SuicaneNorfolk (6-3) At Hartford (5-4)

Adding drama to the game, we need a win to have a good shot at the playoffs. If we don't win, I don't see how we can hold off Albuquerque and Portland for the last playoff spot. I really expected to make the playoffs this year as a WC, but as long as we are above .500 I'll take it.
