Houston (AP) - In a move that could possibly shake up the AC South, there have been reports that the Houston Renegades have traded for the two time IFL offensive player of the year, QB Nigel Booker.
Booker is currently the all-time leader in 'QB Rating', 'TD Passes', 'YPA', and second all-time in total yards thrown. He has thrown for 133 TD's with only 50 INT's in his career, and has also made it to the pro-bowl 2 times.
It is unknown what will happen to Gerald Sanders who was signed to a one year contract just days ago via the franchise tag, however it is rumored that he will either be traded or released to make this move possible.
Booker should add another threat to a mostly one-dimensional offense that watched Timmerman, Cortez and Buckner pick up a combined 2,318 rushing yards. Timmerman's 1,716 rushing yards was 561 more yards than Silverman, Wolf, Buhlmann, Kinder, and Beckner picked up in receiving yards combined.
This move secures a position that has been under question since Jerry Stclair had reconstructive knee surgery and never returned to form after he was blindsided by a hit from Fresno linebacker Justin Callihan after a handoff to Buckner.
