Our camp star booms and busts are all due to position changes. Ronnie Thomas was a natural at safety after first trying him out at corner.

I'm not worried about the busts as the linebackers get more experience. Beaton is going to be one of the better middle linebackers eventually, but he and the other two are just having temporary experience losses.

If a player is a 69/73 at SILB and a 53/73 at MLB, but you play him at MLB without 'officially' changing him to MLB, IMO, he's still playing at a 53/73 level. Any other way doesn't make sense to me and doesn't play out from what I've seen in actual on field performance. If that wasn't the case, why not just play Perez out of position, too, at strong safety or even flanker and pretend he's still an 84/84?

I just switched him and his backups because my coaches wanted to play 4-3 and I did, too. I'd rather be able to track his rating from the position he's actually playing and not one that I don't intend to employ.

Fiscus would have shown up as an even bigger bust - a 43 at MLB and a 27 at WLB! - so he was more expendable than the pretty colored numbers would have you believe. He's much better off in Norfolk's 3-4 and I really needed some experience and/or talent at DT and Devore was an immediate upgrade - if short-lived due to his age.

I wasn't about to go 3-4 just for one or two players and neither were my coaches. If I had two that were truly top notch with ratings in the 80's or higher, I'd consider it because that kind of talent is hard to come by, but I'd rather play a defense I as a GM and my coaches' recommendations are comfortable with. I don't like having to game plan defense for my coaches. Offense? I do it all the time.

        Not worried about these busts.

I don't do a lot of Vancouver write ups, so I thought I'd give y'all a glimpse at some of the decisions I had to make on defense this season. Definitely rolling the dice with a few of them, admittedly.

I would just like to thank those in the media who have selected the Grizzlies as a possible WC team. We won't let you down!

That said, now I know who hammered us in the power rankings! He must have been upset after we played them in the exhibition games!

Thanks to MrBiggs for doing a bunch of work on this once again, and thanks to Vic for trying so hard to do stuff even with family concerns.

Interesting to look at these again.

Looks like the staff "nailed the AFC" pretty much.

Not so good on the "NFC predictions" though.

Only Mr. Big still alive for the Imperial Bowl prediction ( I'll try to not let him down

Who did I pick to win the Imperial Bowl last year? This may be the second time the team I picked didn't even make the playoffs. 8)

I'd like to point out that Anon from 2006 had the IFL Bowl nailed! I don't know who made that prediction!

That said, I think our initial rating was pretty accurate. If we could have held on to the ball more we would have made the playoffs. We lost too many games due to losing the turnover battle. Next year, that isn't going to happen.

Anon picked Little Rock as the NFC champ, not Oakland.

I like how the "experts" all picked WV to make the playoffs.

I realize that there was major roster turnover after the selections, but it looks funny seeing WV on everyone's board and they finish 0-15-1
