Houston Ownership takes the Blame

The inaugural regular season the the IFl has come to a close, Congratulations to those teams making it into the post season. Houston Owner Chris Snow released a statement this week apologizing to Renegades fans and promising to make the needed changes to get this team into the playoffs in 2004.

"We made some bold picks in the dispersal draft, and frankly, we thought they'd turn out better faster than they actually did. StClair has been surprisingly slow to get up to speed with the rest of the league and Timmerman, for all his obvious talent, has been a dissapointment. Our stars have got to play like stars and our support players have to do a better job. There are NO guarenteed spots going into this offseason. If the houston Renegades see an opportunity to improve this team, they will take it, even if it means eating some so called "studs" signing bonus. We would rather deal with salary cap hell than suffer the uninspired and lackluster play of a prima-donna."

The Renegades played very poorly all season as their 4-12 record indicates, but the overall roster is very young and they do have players who could pan out into stars in years to come. Let's hope that means 2004 for all of us Renegades fans.

the weird thing is, even though Little Rock finishes 4-12 also, i was actually happy with how many of my players performed. Kind of odd, although I guess you have more of a reason to pick, because you do have some guys who are more talented then what I have, or will be. Atleast on offense.
