Mabe.........just mabe, the game is trying to tell you something. If you start the same players more then one season in a row, you will actually gain some cohesion and win some games???? Just a guess though. You have a great team already, it blows my mind after winning 12 games, you are so willing to tear it all down and start over.

    But I could be wrong.
Tear it all down and start over? I'm returning 21/22 starters next season. It just so happened I managed to stockpile 4 2nd rounders for this season during the draft last year. If having draft picks means I'm starting over, then shit, I guess I am.

      it's an enviable position

4 twos should displace at least one of those starters

Again, what are all these changes I'm making to my team? You're scaring me

I traded a starting G to free up some cap room. I traded my slot WR in a similar move. Now I should be good to roll for next year.

Hey, cool. The more changes you make, the better for the rest of us. Your team was a monster last year. Trade away! Collect more draft picks. Keep "improving". Rock and roll!

It appears we're on different wavelengths here

What you see as major changes I see as miniscule but necessary tweaks to get under the cap. Cohesion shouldn't suffer because, as I said, I'm returning 21/22 starters. Getting young talent for the future on the side can't hurt either.

Now I'm curious to see how many people have held the same core team together over time. I have 30 guys who have been on my team since 2004. Anyone else have more? A lot less?

A lot of that depends on the team though. For example, I had, and still have, one of the oldest teams in the league. I have been able to keep a core together since 2003, but as those old parts tail off, I have been dealing them. Now, most of my draft picks from the first 3 rounds from each draft are still in the league, and play.

32, but I released two, so now tied with you at 30.

Exactly why I'm curious about it. Obviously you'd expect a lot of turnover to be bad, but which teams are sticking with a large core, which aren't, and what are the results?

I have 24, but am not going to resign 3-4 so I am at 20.

Why do some say 2002 and some 2003 when both were drafted in the initial fantasy draft? When viewing roster by Scout Overview->On Team that is.

That was Jim's way to allow GMs to sign allocated players, who were given 1-year deals out of an allocation draft, to extensions. If those guys didn't "join" your team in 2002 and joined in 2003 instead, you wouldn't be able to offer them a new deal and they would become unrestricted free agents. You follow?
