  • Breaking News - JC resigns long term

Following a season that was plauged with injuries, Fire QB JC signed a renegotiated 4y/12.43m contract which should help secure the fact that JC will retire as a member of the Fire.

Other signings (DE MCCartney, DT Martinez, and FS Larios) and the trade of T Rowden to Dakota has primed the Fire for the off season giving the team 14 Mil to fill holes.

While the team does have some players it will try to move, the initial thought out of Columbia is that the team will bring back pretty much all its starters for this season. Hopes are the team can improve and take the next step and work their way into the Imperial Bowl.

Yea, and imagine, you NEVER had to pay him even a 1/4th of what he is worth! WHAT A GREAT DEAL!

I have to pay 15-20 mill a year for Hamilton, I want to know how in the fuck, you got away for YEARS, with not paying JC more then a couple mil a year????? What a crock!

Yea, since I am sure you will require proof............

Probably because JC only averages being healthy for 8 games a year over the past three years.

Yea, and I am not bitching about Hamiltons contract, the dude has earned it. I am just saying, it's bullshit to have a franchise QB, and everytime his contract is due, to be able to pay him pennies on the dollar, yet the dude performs at a pro-bowl level.

Well like it was already said... Last year he only played in like 6 games. I payed him what he wanted. Why argue if the guy is willing to do the deal

On the other hand what Hamilton is asking for is Manningesque in scope. Totally out of porportion to his current 5+million contract.

FWIW Ex Mule QB Willoughby was asking for 3M/y for 3 years or so before he was allowed to presue his worth in the open market. I checked and his agent now is only asking for like 3m over 3 season or so (I don't have the game available)

                    Could just be a Hamilton/his agent/Oakland thing. Sheeze that's a lot. 17.5m ramping up to 22.5m. WOW

I don't blame you for jumping at it, its just that most of us would kill to have a talent like him go for not just one, but TWO contracts like that!

but his contract wont be cheap if he is hurt.

Tell Hamilton to piss off and just wait until he comes off contract and franchise his punk ass. Giving out a deal like that is bad for the league as a whole.

Wonder if his agent is running the real NFLPA negotiations. Greedy ass players.
