Surprising no one that took a look at the team's roster after the departure of Kaczmarek Benedict, who made a name for himself amongst the Phantom Phaithful in his short tenure with the team, the Phantoms today selected Devin Galles with the 5th pick in the draft. Although he played his college career in the interior of the DLine he'll immediately be moved to defensive end for Lawrence, most likely on the right side.
While not a big hitter he's known for both his pass-rushing and run-stuffing skills and carries a fearsome bull-rush. He should step in as an immediate starter and be playing at an all-pro level in his 2nd season barring injury.
